Little Elm Beach Volleyball Courts — Attraction in Little Elm

Honestly if it weren't for the lack of food options from the Lakefront grill I wouldn't be leaving a comment. This was our second visit and the first time we weren't sure what to expect so we didn't explore the grill while at the beach but we had a great time. During our second visit based on the options offered online we decided to only pack a few snacks and decided we would do lunch at the grill once the kiddos were hungry. Fast forward after hours of fun we get to the grill, there is a separate menu from what is offered online and even that menu was not fully accurate. They had cheese, not enough chili, no chips for nachos. Sandwiches, hamburgers, fries, nor chips were listed at all. They ran out of buns in the midst of my order,and only had chilli for two hot dogs. We still had a good time which is why I still gave 4 stars but I had to take one away for the lack of food options as someone new to the area who researches before visiting you sometimes base your outing on the website and what we saw was not aligned with what the website stated in terms of onsite options we still ended up stopping for food...

I haven’t posted a review before but felt this was necessary to save others from the pain and suffering they could potentially endure by going to this beach!

Is this a nice little beach with a great combo of sand, shade and bathroom facilities?? Yes!

However, after 1.5 hours of listening to the most GOD AWFUL music BLASTING through the park speakers. I want to say it was 80’s music. Trust me, I’m a fan of ALL music genres but this was HORRENDOUS. Please trust me when I tell you that the type of music blaring through the speakers is unable to be drown out with your own music (unless you keep your AirPods on) I considered puncturing my ear drums to relive me of the torture of the absolute WORST MUSIC playing. The people around us were all commenting on it. We all ended up leaving early.

Please consider helping the person responsible for the music choices with expanding their music genre. This was the worst music I have ever had to be subjected to and I truly can enjoy MANY different types. I believe in you Little Elm. You can...

What the courts lack in quality, they make up for in quantity. When the weather is good and the courts can be expected to be in playable condition, e.g. not muddy or flooded, this is a fun place to play. I have been here a few times, and my group competed with and against players that weren't a part of the group. People generally tend to be friendly.

There are some minor quality issues with the courts. The nets can be at various heights, and some are not tightened. Thus, some may blow into one side of the court. Also, the nets catch rain in the bottom and sag. The lines of the courts cannot be adjusted to a 2x2, 4x4, and 6x6 format securely. The two playing areas on each court may be of unequal area.
