BUYER BEWARE! Any "five-star" reviews seen here are most likely posted because they bribe their customers with BP Gas Gift Cards for giving them 5 star reviews. My family has been purchasing Chrysler/Jeep vehicles for many years. Our most recent vehicle was a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It was purchased Certified Pre-Owned in May of 2015. One year after purchasing the vehicle the heat broke (it turned out to be the actuator). We brought it in to Rt. 46 Jeep since the car had both the standard Certified warranty and we purchased an extended warranty. They explained to me that this part was not covered and it would cost about $800.00. So, I contacted Jeep corporate (FCA Automotive). After expressing my displeasure, FCA agreed to replace the part free of charge (as they should have). However, this was just the beginning. A couple of months later we took the car in for a recall with the vanity mirror wiring. They performed the recall, but one week later we were having major electrical problems. I took the car back and of course they tried to say this wasn't their fault and I would have to pay for a diagnostic test. Well, after calling corporate again, Rt. 46 Jeep acknowledged that they made an error while performing the recall and they fixed the issue. A couple of months later, I bring the car for a routine oil change (take into account they strong arm you into paying excessive amounts of money for certain service intervals. I think I paid almost $700.00 for a 65,000 service, however, I wanted to keep my car for a while, so I paid up) anyway, after receiving my car back I noticed oil blots on my garage floor. I brought the car back assuming they forgot to tighten the oil cap. Well, I was told I needed a new radiator. At this point I was becoming suspicious that every time I bring the car to this dealer, I leave with more problems. I took the car to a family friend who owns a local automotive shop. He informed me that the radiator was fine, but the hoses were defective and may have been tampered with. Obviously I had to make the repair. After that incident I told myself I would never bring my car back to Rt. 46 Jeep. Unfortunately, several weeks ago I received a recall notice. So, of course, I have to bring it to a dealer. I go back to Rt. 46 Jeep, as the car is there I received a phone call saying I need new brakes. I explained that I had just had new brakes put on by my friend a little less than a year ago. Well, they did not know what to say other than "well, I guess the brakes aren't that bad, you may need new ones in the future." (Well, duh, everyone will eventually need new brakes, nice try trying to con me into getting new ones when they were not needed.) The day after picking my car up from the recall, the heat breaks, AGAIN, less than one year later. I bring my car back to Rt. 46 Jeep, explaining what happened, and I reminded them the same exact thing happened last year. I left the car with them on a Friday night. By Monday afternoon I had not heard anything so I called. I was told that the repair would not be covered as when they fixed the actuator last year, it was done free of charge, so, they do not need to honor any type of parts warranty. So, I call Jeep corporate (FCA Automotive) again. Originally, I was told the repair would be covered 100%, then Rt. 46 Jeep says that is incorrect. So, I call FCA again. After going back and forth on the phone for almost three hours, the end result was that the repair would be covered by FCA Automotive. Well, it's now Wednesday and my car is still not ready (I have no loaner and am relying on family members to get to work). I receive a phone call on Wednesday evening saying that the actuator was repaired, but they discovered a "different part" that was broken. They explained that since the dash was "already open" they would give me a "deal" and replace the part for $300.00 and would "not charge me labor." At this point I was broken down and needed my car back, so, I paid the $300.00 and...

Lets take it from the top. I went in to trade my 16 Jeep for a vehicle with a 3rd row. You play the typical back and forth with pricing. I made it clear where I wanted to be with zero down and what was offered at another dealer. Sales manager came back with a "great" price with the agreement that the vehicle is taken home today. Sat around all day in the waiting room with my wife and kids, waiting for the finance manager. Literally hours because we could not leave with the vehicle we were trading in and they were busy. Finally get into the finance managers office, and guess what! I owe $1,2xx. I guess my understanding and the managers understanding of what zero down means is different. It is now evening time, I pay because I am not going to waste an entire day and wanted to get my restless kids home. Walk out to the vehicle, the vehicle is dirty. Sand inside the center console, tire crayon marks on the tires, something sticky in the door, there is dirt specs under the paint (not the dealers fault, a few cars had it on the lot, must be a dodge thing) and one of the keys had been misplaced so we went home with only one key that day. Turns out the vehicle was not PDI'd. For those of you who arent familiar with what that is. Its the pre-delivery inspection, tires pressures are set (they were all at 50 psi, which is normal for a car that sits in a delaer lot), vehicle is taken out of transport mode, wheel locks are put on etc. Take off in the vehicle, I notice the headlights make an aweful clunking noise when turning on the highbeams. Now vehicle has to be scheduled to be brought in to perform everything. Salesman took care of setting a loaner and ensuring a key was ordered. Fast forward to the day of appointment. Arrive at 8am on a Friday. There is a decent line waiting for service. You just sit in your car and wait for someone to eventually acknowledge you. 20 minutes later, a service advisor comes out, I discuss what the vehicle is in for and informed him I had a loaner reserved. There is a valet in a tie dye deadpool shirt, sweatpants and headphones on moving vehicles. The only reason I knew he worked there is because no one is going to put floor mat and seat covers in a car they are about to take. I am directed to a counter for the loaner. Counter directs me back to advisor for some paper. Recieve paper and go back to counter. Most dealers it is normal that they put a CC on file in case of damage etc to loaner. Route 46 however automatically charges you $250 and issues a refund when you return the vehicle. Loaner dept walks out to car to perform inspection. We go over it and the lady tells me im good to leave. I dont know the advisors name, didnt sign an RO, was not given an ETA, a point of contact, nothing. On my way I go. All day Friday, Saturday, Monday, no updates on vehicle. I contact my salesman this afternoon, checks with service and they said it is ready. I pick up the vehicle and surprise, all they did was put on wheel locks. Vehicle is still dirty, headlights still clunk. The salesmen held up his part and got me the missing key. I dont know what was done, because I wasnt given a copy of the RO upon pickup either but considering everything, it safe to say, just wheel locks were put on. At this point I will pay to have my vehicle detailed, and Ill pass on the first "free" oil change the dealer offers come time for it. This is my wife's vehicle, the saying goes happy wife, happy life. She isnt exactly thrilled at the moment. I can however say the 18 Durango R/T all blacked out is a spacious,...
Read moreUpdate to my original review… it got worse!!
This is my second review stemming from a recent vehicle lease… regarding the new truck I really have no complaints but the rest of it, COMPLETE NIGHTMARE. Their quality of customer service is poor beyond measure. First, my temp tag expired and they refused to print me a new one even though my regular plates were not available yet. They tried to tell me the cops wouldn’t give me a hard time, yeah sure, the cops definitely care what sales manager Dave said… Then they didnt make the last payment on my old vehicle, which was part of the agreement with the new lease. Then they said they issued me a check to reimburse me, I open the mail and it was a check for $5. It took almost 2 months to finally get it rectified after I had to go there in person four times because the managers don’t answer the phones or return voicemails. Mind you the issue also only got rectified after a previous bad review that I refused to take down. Just when I thought they undid all of their wrongs, it got worse. I turned in my old vehicle on June 4th, they didn’t ground it and return it to the company that “owned” the vehicle until July 31st… so I get a bill in the mail for repairs for about $3100 from the leasing company, which included the disposition fee that Route 46 was also supposed to pay. There was significant damage to the hood, damage to the roof, and a broken taillight among other minor necessary repairs that I got billed for… of that amount the only thing that was present when I dropped off the vehicle that I was billed for was the removal of window tint - okay, my fault. When I went there (AGAIN) because no one returns a phone call, I requested the inspection report for when they took the vehicle in. They didn’t do one but they did notate the mileage. I have no idea what happened in the five miles it was driven after I dropped it off, in the almost two months that it sat on their lot, but I don’t recommend trusting this dealership with anything. After many attempts to speak with someone regarding this matter, they were unwilling to even have a conversation about the damage that absolutely occurred while the vehicle was in their possession… oh, and make sure you look into the people you deal with before giving them your business, our salesman was arrested multiple times for drug use and distribution. Over five months since I bought a car from them and we’re still being haunted by the experience. They should be ashamed of themselves.
Purchased a new 2024 jeep back in the beginning of June. They made the sale part of it very easy… and then our temporary plates expired, they refused to issue a new one and kept delaying getting the real plates. Finally got them after the car was technically unregistered for a week. They tried to say “the police are aware of a system issue and won’t give you a problem”… the police could care less about your clerical errors. I doubt route 46 would’ve covered the my tow and impound fees but they had the nerve to claim they would.
Then they were supposed to cover the last payment on the car we turned in… they did not and we had to pay it. Okay… time to make right by it… so you’d think. Then they said they’d be issuing a check and mailing it to us. It should’ve been for almost $450. We received a check for $5. When you go in person to speak with someone, they tell you just enough to get you to leave. When you try to call to speak to someone, you get passed all over the place, eventually leave a voicemail and they NEVERRRR call you back (especially the sales manager). They seem to think their job ends when you drive off of the lot. They’re good at selling the car but actual customer service is a hot...
