My family and I always get ice cream after church as our family tradition. We typically go to another establishment. However, today we decided to try Scoops. Since it was our first time there, we were excited to try it. Unfortunately that excitement quickly dissipated. When we entered, no one greeted us (we were the only customers there). We stood at the counter looking at the menu to decide what we wanted to try. Still no one said anything to us. The employees just looked at us. So I decided to ask if we were able to taste test the flavors like the animal cracker flavor. Still no one spoke, just gave me a small spoon with the animal cracker flavor on it. My husband asked if they have peanut butter cups and the response received was “what’s on the menu is all we have.” Of course, it was our first time there and trying to find everything on the menu quickly isn’t the easiest. So that wasn’t the best response—that was an opportunity to suggest something else. Once we ordered, the employee told us our total and walked off to help some customers who had just walked in and were looking at the menu. She greeted them and even asked them “is there anything you would like to try.” So we stood there waiting to pay. She eventually returned and we paid. Upon receiving our ice cream, we said thank you to which no one responded nor did we receive a “thank you for coming” or any type of farewell salutation. The customer service we received was terrible. The ice cream was good but my family and I will not be returning because of the terrible...
Read moreI purchased through the drive through which is why I did not score Atmosphere or Service. I visited the new Rodney Parham location and was disappointed Scoops does not have the same coffee drinks at this store like the downtown store. I ordered a smoothie instead. My experience with smoothies are that they are a frozen drink, therefore I was very surprised when my smoothie was lukewarm. I was home and checked the temperature which was almost 70 degrees. I called to ask a manager if this is normal. The Rodney Parham store is not usually staffed by a manager so I then called downtown. When I asked about the temperature of the smoothie I ordered I was informed that Scoops is known for their milkshakes and ice cream, not smoothies. The employee did offer me a replacement smoothie for free if I wanted to come to the downtown store tonight, which was very nice and I appreciated it, but that is a little far to travel for a smoothie, that may not be better, tonight. Also as noted in the pictures my cup was not full. Personally If I am going to pay $9.99 for a lukewarm smoothie I won't be drinking, I would at the very least expect the cup to be full. Maybe the ingredient missing...
