Hello, just watched news this morning, Wed 29 Aug 18. Out of Shreveport, LA. Concerning the Salt Bowl last Sat. Night. All the news agencies keep indicating everyone was wanded. Myself, my wife, and adult daughter walked beside the man with a metal wand in his hand. Big guy, yellow staff shirt. He made eye contact with all three of use. My concern, he didn't check anyone in front of us. I have metal in my body, and always set the detector off. I carry a card from my doctor indicating what Metal object is in my abdomen. I also forgot to take out my pocket knife, put my hand in my pocket, put my pocket knife in my hands expecting to have to throw it away. That would have been two different alerts just on myself. If the message is going out about the incident, needs to be correct. I can tell you that I was we were only a few that didn't run. Waited until the stampede was over, then walked down to bottom of stairs. There was a black teen next to me who got a phone call, and stated he was just told who shot the gun outside. He hung up and told two kids with him he was ready to leave. The issue was not outside any longer. I was there, too much Army in me to run. I heard several teen girls who said they heard gun shots outside. Not tazer noise. I can tell you the Yellow shirts who were up top, couldn't have seen much. The one guy in North end zone behind the camera guy, he was on his phone texting or playing the whole time. The folks in the East and West side top bleachers, kept it clear. Moved all from the top three rows of bleachers. I myself never heard gun shots, tazer noise, or saw a fight. Although, many people said they heard gun shots outside. I know your department wasn't the main police presence. I felt someone in law enforcement should know someone's view that was there. I am former Army officer, medical...
Read moreLove to tailgate Razorback Games, Salt Bowl, and enjoy DCI and other High School Band Comps. While Guns and Roses was the best concert I have seen in years the way the stadium managed the crowd was horrible. We were there at 2 for tailgating the man directing us to park on the golf course told us we could park in a specific spot because of a special need. One lady was very nice and said go ahead when we told her the man gave us permission but after we had parked got everything set up a different parking attendant came from the complete other side and made a scene with the nice lady accusing her of making up her own rules. We intervened and explained to her that the man at the front taking the money gave us permission. She was some sort of control freak that seemed to just want to stir up something because instead of just leaving it at that she went to the man and caused a scene with him. He then came over and said he guesses we need to move because his employees were upset that he let us skip 2 spots. We ended up paying 20 to park in a spot we couldn't even fit our tailgating gear. Then the way they had the lines set up made you miss the first part of the concert even after being in line an hour early...
Read moreIf I were rating the concert itself (Guns 'N Roses), I would give it a 5, hands down. My 3 star rating is for the wait to get inside and the parking situation. There were hundreds of people trying to get in through two lines! We had to stand outside in the blazing sun for over an hour and some people were there longer than us that would make it to the front of the line only to be told they were in the wrong line and had to go back and find where they were supposed to be, but there were no knowledgeable staff to tell where that place was. Parking, one word, RIDICULOUS! Well, I could think of a few more words for the parking situation, but won't get into that. The parking or should I say, lack of parking, caused us to make the decision to use Uber for the first time and now will be our last time to use Uber. The ride there was fine, but trying to get an Uber after the concert was a complete and total nightmare! So please fix the freaking...
