Located over the Ammonusuc and seconds from Main Street by way of public stairs. A paved pathway down a semi steep incline leads to the beautiful, covered footbridge. The bridge overlooks the scenic and popular-to-locals "flat rock" area of the river. Swimming or wading is allowed at your own risk. Always anticipated by the community, both young and old alone surely will marvel at the bright orange pumpkins arranged a top the flat-rocks to be admired. As dusk sets in, a myriad of spooky, silly, simple and intricate Jack-o'-lanterns which are donated, designed and displayed by local participants come alive with fiery toothy and toothless grins and scary faces which appear to be "floating" and marching slow and menacingly toward their "death'. It was a mid-May 85 degree day and was quite pleasant day for a new experience. After eating at Gold Pizza and visiting Chutter's candy we enjoyed our walk along the river.
