Chang Thai Cafe — Restaurant in Littleton

My friends and I ordered take out on Sept 11th around 3p. I wanted to mention the date and time because I don't remember the names of the workers who were there.

FOOD: Food was delicious (I ordered Pineapple Fried Rice w/ Duck), well seasoned and well cooked. Each of us also ordered Thai Iced Tea, and we felt it was more delicious than another that we had tried at a different restaurant. For the food, I would order here again.

SERVICE: We waited about 45 minutes for our take-out order near the cashiers, but the restaurant wasn't busy at the time - only a few people were eating at the bar (could be the wait time was necessary for the food we had ordered). What had bothered my friends and I about the service was the service from two specific workers. One said she'll be going to UCLA for college while the other had a dark brown bun/ponytail (I didn't catch their names). Multiple take-out bags were prepared and placed near the two cashiers, but they continued to chat instead of taking the initiative to look through them. I wasn't sure if any of those take-out bags were our order, so I waited for ~7-10 minutes. When I came up to the two cashiers to ask, they stated, "The food just came out." They knew we were waiting for the food for awhile and that we were sitting in front of them, and they didn't take the initiative to check if our order was ready. We didn't want to wait longer than necessary. It took my prompting for them to look at the take-out bags, and they found our order was ready. I would understand if the workers were busy serving customers/answering telephone orders, but they were just chatting. It was frustrating because of those two workers who didn't do anything. Unfortunate update, but I'm pretty much done with this restaurant at this point. The wait times for online ordering are unbelievable in the first place. Minimum of 45 minutes but can be 60-90 minutes for even a single item. Today, I arrived about 45 minutes after placing my order online as they were calling my cellphone, when they said it would be done, for the cashier to inform me that the sushi chef was out sick and they couldn't make my lunch and she would give me a full refund. While I'm completely understanding of the ill sushi chef, first of all they should have called much sooner than 45 minutes after I placed my order. Second, there was no offer to make something else, at no point did anyone say "can we make something else for you?" For the prices you pay at this place and the number of times I've had issues it's just not worth it. There's a phenomenal Thai restaurant further up the road that has better prices and much better service, just read the difference in reviews. I left two stars because the food is really good.

Sadly this is one of those restaurants where you should check your to-go order before you drive away. I ordered the Honolulu Tartare poke bowl, and first I noticed it was missing the sesame and pineapple so 1/3 of the components. What they did put in the bowl was severely lacking. A tiny serving of tuna, and maybe a cup of lettuce, topped with crunchies. It was extremely disappointing as their food is delicious, but I couldn't believe what I just spent $20 plus a tip and gas to drive there on. I will likely return but I'll check my to-go order...

2/13/24 we had a special occasion and it was a treat to have delicious fresh spicy tuna rolls and Thai curry! As always, the food was delicious and fresh, the service is excellent and the ambience is so peaceful and enjoyable. 1/27/24 hands down the best Thai in LITTLETON and probably New Hampshire We were celebrating a special night so we went out to dinner and it was absolutely delicious!! I got Panang Curry and it is absolutely phenomenal! My husband got the green curry and it was delicious, a little less spicy than the Panang, but I prefer more spice .. he was very happy. Both meals were full of delicious fresh vegetables and the flavors were amazing. We each got a spicy tuna tuna roll and they were so delicious and fresh!! The staff is so nice and the service is excellent The atmosphere is really beautiful and relaxing with perfect lighting and great music. Everytime we come here we're are very happy and satisfied with our experience!

Delicious, fresh sashimi. The pieces were kind of small and sliced in an unusual and irregular way, but yummy. The trio sashimi did come with seaweed salad and rice and they had gluten free tamari.
