Nice building... Not really a museum, just an excuse of one, by sporting two small vitrines against the backwall with some history in them. The remaining 90% or so of the space is a "gallery," i.e. essentially a gift shop with jewelry and postcards. Staff is trying to be nice, if slightly defensive about this lopsided situation, and pretty clueless otherwise.
Apparently the place is not publicly/city supported. Maybe the city could be shamed into giving it some attention and support, if it's supposed to function as a place of attraction, and a showcase ("business card"?) for the city? Livermore has a lot of history to share and impress with, but this is not the place to find out much about it...
(My suspicion is that currently this is just a business, trying to front as a museum, or what some might call a "tourist trap"?)
