This will be my final and last updated review regarding this dispensary. Oh wait I actually just learned today when I was in their store that they are not actually considered a dispensary any longer they are considered a bug bar so be ready when you go in store because you can't order on any of their machines you literally have to wait in line and then use the machine or talk to somebody at the register in order to find out what they have and then tell them what it is you want and then you have to wait for them to go and get it for you making the lines going out the door most of the times absolutely ridiculous I had to leave today and go to a different dispensary I don't understand why every other dispensary in the area can function perfectly the way they do but this one dispensary just can't seem to figure. Oh that's right they're not a dispensary I forgot.
Another update after New Management took over: first I want to say that the employees here are still as pleasant as ever and they are actually annoyed also that there is no customer quality control in their store. Just forget about this place this is officially now the worst dispensary in the state of New jersey. Found out a little inside information and apparently management has changed and there is a new owner and it seems to be somebody that thinks that they can just sit back and collect money from their business instead of actually putting forth an effort to make their business better and their customers happy. None of the in-store computers work to place an order and they haven't for weeks maybe months even they don't keep the website updated so if you try to order from home you're not seeing their full menu. So when you get to the store you have to go up to the budtender and waste 20 minutes of your time figuring out what it is they have and don't have since their computers don't work in store and the internet doesn't stay up to date from home. The new owner apparently does not care about his business so I would suggest everybody goes somewhere else at least the other dispensaries in the area keep their websites current and up-to-date so you know exactly what is available and when it's available. Making marijuana purchases are supposed to be easy not hard
Updated review after New Management took over:
Unfortunately I am having to edit My review because unfortunately this place has gone downhill over the months since I've left my last review. You can't place orders online because if you do chances are when you get to the store they're not going to have what you ordered. On top of that when you shop in store now they rather you not use the computer to place your order but walk up to the counter and tell your bud tender what it is you want which honestly is a pain in the butt if you're somebody like me who likes to get multiple types of pre-rolls at a time and then by the time you get to the counter you forgotten what it is you wanted. I think the reason that they are doing that is because they're not keeping up with their computer system as far as what their stock is. I only come here now out of convenience because it's the closest to my home but if I have the time I generally have to go elsewhere. I'm hoping that they'll change back to the way they were doing things but we will see. There's nothing like going to pick up your order and then you have to stand at the counter for 20 minutes talking to your budtender about what they do have available.
Original review before change of management management: Never have I gone through a drive-thru for anything and had as much fun as I did when Renee served me, we had a good laugh, and she was very kind and polite, you can't ask for much more than that. I was actually having a bit of a rough night and she cheered me up quite well. Thanks for the great customer service and also great product as well. Can't...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI just want to say. I have been buying from Apothecarium from the start. Today is dec 6 2023. There was only one manager in the building. I bought 2 carts last night. My receipt on left (2nd picture) shows time and date. I bought two carts and one didnāt turn on at all. I just didnāt work. The other one pulls and sometimes the light doesnāt even work. So I tell him one didnāt even turn on. And right away he said āsorry I canāt do anything. Return policyā and smirked and handed me my receipt back. Then I ask him to look at them and he actually proceeds to take a battery out and go outside and tells me to pull it on his battery like if I am a 5 year old lying to him. Then he sees it doesnāt work at all. Not even on the first pull. Itās brand new filled to the brim. Then he said. āOkay just so you know return policy says we canāt take it or return or refund.ā As we walk in back into the store he tells the security guard joking āoh check this guy out he wants a return but policy says no returnsā (laughing and smiling) he was hoping the cop security guard was going laugh. So then he proceeds to say Iām sorry but thatās the policy. So I asked for the policy. And well will you take a look at that? Thereās no return policy. No one could provide me with one. Then after I asked another associate āhow would she feel if you bought a device that didnāt turn on at all?ā She answers with āIād be very frustrated.ā Mr manager is still smiling. Smiling for what? Idk. When thereās nothing to laugh about after I asked someone else they also agreed I had a valid reason to tell him the way he was treating a customer was incorrect. Why would you laugh with a upset customer? That alone makes me thing heās not a manger and is full of feces. Then he still makes a joke towards me and said āyou know what Oscar looks like he needs this very bad.ā And then prints out a receipt. Hands me a new cart. I just want the manager from tonight dec 6 2023. You lost. I won. For being a yerk awf. I WON. YOU LOST. Please help customers when you know youāre wrong. Donāt just say āitās policy itās policyā. What that is, is bee ess bro. (Btw this guy kept printing receipts out like a maniac hoping one would come out with all sales final. And as a manger myself I would learn the policy before I enforce it. I would familiarize myself with it. Canāt step into the ring...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've frequented numerous dispensaries across New Jersey, but unfortunately, my recent visit to this particular establishment left much to be desired.
Upon entering, the initial impression was somewhat unsettling. The positioning of the cash register at the far end of the building, coupled with an excessive number of employees equipped with ID scanners in the lobby, contributed to an atmosphere that felt overly cautious. While I appreciate the necessity of stringent age verification measures, being asked for identification a total of five times, including while merely browsing and again at the register, felt excessive, especially considering my age proximity to 30.
Furthermore, the pricing structure proved to be exorbitant. During my visit, I intended to purchase a disposable item, only to receive the wrong device containing a mere 0.3 grams, priced at $48, with a single gram priced at $90. This stands in stark contrast to comparable offerings available nearby, where superior products are available at a fraction of the cost. Such pricing practices, while perhaps intended to ensure product quality and safety, ultimately amount to a significant overcharge.
In contrast to my experience at other dispensaries, where knowledgeable and attentive staff readily assist customers in selecting products, interactions with employees here were disappointing. Despite the generally affable demeanor of the staff, the abundance of personnel milling about without clear roles or responsibilities detracted from the overall efficiency of the establishment. Furthermore, the lack of product expertise among staff members necessitated repeated inquiries and ultimately resulted in a purchase that did not align with my preferences.
In summary, while this dispensary may suffice for quick purchases of pre-rolls or small quantities of flower for those in close proximity, caution is warranted regarding cartridge purchases due to inflated prices. Additionally, prospective customers should be aware that assistance from staff may be limited, potentially leading to suboptimal purchasing decisions. My candid assessment reflects the realities of my experience, acknowledging the relaxed ambiance while highlighting areas for improvement in service and pricing...
