cool place in theory and on paper and on the website!!!!!!! had a weird visit as a first-timer.

there is not a lot of signage to indicate what anything is when you first enter into an unmarked room with a man at a desk. security man is nice and checks id upon entry, then points you into the main room of the dispo. it is halloween time, so it is decorated floor to ceiling, the lights are low and technicolored, the music is bumping loud, and i know that people hit the dispensary before going to parties sometimes, but me personally, i felt sick 😭. like the willy wonka boat ride in there.

the ordering on screens is fine to me, as i can recognize there is a lot going on and a lot of customers to keep accurate account of, i can recognize that there needs to be a tower and defense style cashier situation in order to account for everybody. however, after ordering on the screen and waiting in line and getting to the register, i guess the wrong flavor of preroll was pre-put into our bag? by the humans? so they had to go back and get the right one so that they could scan it, so that we could pay for it, which i forgot we didn’t do at the screen, because it says “checkout” at the end of the process. i feel like the screens could be scrapped and the transaction would leech less time and energy from so many resources at once. i can’t emphasize enough how impossible and mirror-maze-like this transaction was, for an anxious hasher who is uninitiated. it was like the entry line for the mummy ride at universal orlando. the hat box ghost was grinning and papa roach was scatting and the lights were pulsing and the cashier was trying to explain why we were being charged $5 more than the order said a minute ago, something with the machine?, we were gonna get it back in change…? i mean, you might understand how this sort of overstimulation could be panic-inducing for anyone who is alive, but one has to mention the crowd of folks around us trying to get a couple grams to cut the headache of their 12-hr shift or whatever demons are enticing them to hackensack. some of them, waiting with their eyes closed as papa cuts his life into pieces and the 20 foot skeleton waggles his inflatable blunt at you.

i am a chill and nervous guy so i have learned this is not my spot to get some relaxing vibes, and that is okay. i hope some halloweeny fellas read this before the holiday and can switch their plans up accordingly to drop by this haunt.
