EDIT... in response to your reply you guys NEVER adjust prices. EVER! You have stated that several times in your replies to other feedback here and to me when I've shopped at your store (You even have signs in the store stating this!!) including the item I mentioned here. When I got to the register and noticed the price the cashier basically told us "oh well". All of your attitudes are "It's for a good cause and if you don't like it oh well"... I used to love shopping here but not anymore. The prices have gotten ridiculous and the (new) people who work there are incredibly cold, rude and greedy. Yea, I know you're going to say that the money goes for a good cause and that the cost of living in Boulder County is high but that's why most folks shop there! So that we can make the necessary changes, repairs and improvements to our homes without going broke. It would be nice if you considered your shoppers. I was there today and my grand daughter wanted to buy a small USED Play Dough toy. You had it priced at $10... I'm sorry, That's just shameful. I'd rather go somewhere with people who make you feel good about helping others while helping me... and since I won't be going your way to shop I won't be going there to donate either. When I donate items to a thrift store it's to help people who need something they can't afford to buy new not just the organization I'm...
Read moreDon't be fooled, these guys are not a charity in practice, they are not looking to help those in financial need. They are focused on getting the maximum amount possible for any quality item. Goodwill, Arc, Salvation Army etc resell for 10-20% of the current cost for a new or similar item. Restore prices all quality, name brand or newish items for 50% of the original price, that's the model pawn shops and consignment store use. $799 for a dining room table (chairs sold separately), $499 for a whirlpool washing machine, $599 for a couch..... You can even see the greed in just how they price, ending in 99 or .99 is a tactic used to trick customers into not thinking the product is as expensive. If they really cared about helping our community then they should be happy when they receive a generous DONATION, free to them, of a quality item. They could then pass that generosity on to their community, rather than see the opportunity to charge as much as possible, knowing full well that if our community had quality appliances and furnishings their standard of living...
Read moreGreat place to find needful things for the house. There's one person, specifically however, that makes the women feel uncomfortable while pushing hard on the men who are with them, and getting very disrespectful, and pretty racist in how they present things in general. She's a bit appalling and quite the putoff to visiting when I want to go look for things. Not sure of her name as I try to avoid her, but she acts like she runs the place.
Lots of other great folks there to work with (Lindsay, Letty for example), search them out!!! They're always helpful, enjoyable to work with and totally customer...
