Ashley Pond is a pretty great place to spend time overall. Plenty of big trees for shade, plenty of benches and picnic tables, lots of grass... And of course, Ashley Pond itself, named after Ashley Pond. Overall, the whole place is extremely pretty and scenic, with cool places to chill. It's also in a terrific location, less than a minute's walk away from such important places as the library, movie theater, several restaurants and other businesses, and (for teens) the Teen Center. Overall just a really great place that I have spent many hours enjoying.

Visited this park on Sunday on one day trip to Los Almos. Quite nice place with great Mountain Views. Free public WiFi available through park.

Small pond with a walking path around it. Beautiful gardens with historical information and statues.

If a man named Ashley tells you this is his private swimming hole, he is wrong. Little known fact, this pond was originally formed by a meteor impact over a thousand years ago! The crater did not hold water due to a natural cave system, but the Boy's School used the site as a burial ground for their pack animals. After the "great tragedy of '31", the cave entrance became plugged and the pond was born. LA County has modernized the site, but over 460 equine skeletons are believed to still be...

A wonderful area. Lovely trees and grassy areas. Perfect for a picnic. The pond has a waterfall coming down over landscaped rocks. Well executed. And a great venue for their summer concerts. Bring a folding chair or sit on the well...
