We recently had a very good experience with UPEX in Los Alamos. We needed 120 badges laminated for the Bataan Memorial Death March at White Sands Missile Range. It was very important to us that the lamination was a heavy material to withstand the wind and, as we put in a great deal of work on both the front and back, we wanted the lamination as bubble free as possible. We spoke to Kyle about our needs and time frame and he assured us he could get us taken care of in our time frame. When we returned to pick them up they had the correct margins and were as bubble free as we've ever seen on laminations. We were very happy with the result and the recipients of the badges said they were the best we've ever made. As an after thought, I want to point out this service was less than at Kinkos do it yourself machine. I just left UPEX today with a last minute pack and mail of a very delicate hand made piece of pottery. By the time I had my mailing label and cards signed to go into the box, Yasmin had it bubble wrapped and boxed with the required 4 inches of packing. Allison Bennett (owner/manager) is not qualified to own or run any business however she thinks extremely highly of herself just because she had the only jewelry/copy/shipping store in a small town as a monopoly for years. She acts nice while trying to make a sale however is not even slightly professional or customer oriented if you need help afterwards. Do not fall for it. If you need any assistance later, she will not listen to you. All she will do is try to dominate the conversation, force her speech, and escort you out of the store. She has anger management issues which you will notice immediately. Keep in mind that she also discriminates against foreigners. She has a reputation in town well-known by the long time residents but this is a vibrant town so this review is for new residents who are potential customers. I've used your services many times, and I'm absolutely shocked by my experience today. I have never been treated or spoke to as poorly by a business in our town. Ruby I believe was her name refused to price my 2 items going to the same location in one box, when I got an estimate of $30+ per box and asked why they were boxed together her reply was "well I can box them together if you want them to break". I had already taken care to wrap the two scentsy warmers in over an inch of bubble wrap. Unfortunately I had to get back to work and had no choice, so over $70 laters I was spoken to horribly and bluntly ripped off. If these warmers weren't discontinued I would have bought my friend two new ones for HALF the price! You'd think a small town business would want a better reputation!
