A hidden gem of a restaurant in Los Alamos There are a fair amount of restaurants in the Los Alamos area. I would recommend trying this one. It is truly a hole in the wall and is located in a set of stores centered around a parking lot on the north side of Central Avenue. Even in this collection of stores, there are several restaurants to choose from. El Rigoberto’s is located in the West set of stores and has one entrance that took me a little bit to find. The inside of the restaurant is a fairly large space with wood paneling, linoleum floors, and several 4 person tables. You order and pay at the counter and they will call you when your order is ready. I saw several people order takeout but did not see anyone that stayed to eat at the location I was visiting later in the evening so It may not have been the time for eat-in restaurants. The staff at the counter was pleasant and the restaurant was relatively clean. I ordered a chicken burrito. It was reasonably priced and ready quickly. It was a large burrito and very good. Overall, I would recommend this location to other travelers...
Read moreThe food was so so delicious here I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking to eat an authentic mexican taco or burrito meal! I had a taquito meal which had 4 taquitos, beans, rice. My husband got a ground beef chimichanga which also had beans and rice with picamo de Gallo & lettuce. The horchata was good as well!! The service was really fast. The restrooms were really clean especially for being an older building! The price gor the food wasn't bad we paid $26 for two adults. This was the first time we have gone here or have even heard about it but from the pictures and the reviews here on google were good so we decided to try it out. We are not from Los alamos but if we were to come back this is somewhere...
Read moreRigobertos... well, everyone in town knows Rigobertos Taco Shop and keeps coming back again and again... and there is reason for that.. I meat at least a couple reasons! For one, their dishes are quite good, and are sold in a really reasonable price. Then their staff is fast and friendly, make you feel at home right away. And last, but not least, they are in downtown, right next to Bathtub, which makes it an ideal location to get some snacks with your beer. I'd say that if you're in town, give them a try. Guaranteed it's not the most healthy food you'll get, but far better than "real" fast food alternatives. Some doesn't prefer them, some simply loves them. I leave it up to you to decide; I personally can...
