Buena Vista View Point — Attraction in Los Angeles

One of the best views of the city can be found here, and it’s free. There are some people cruising, but it’s a very safe place to bring the kids and family. Only about 10 parking spots and one picnic table are right here, but a 2 min walk takes you to an open meadow with plenty of seating (bring a picnic blanket to sit on). Dog friendly. No restrooms. Please be careful of this park. Was not expecting to see people pleasuring themselves (multiple people) in the park. Based on a sign at the front of the park, it seems to be a known issue (i.e.,"warning" "lewd acts will be prosecuted").

I state again, please be careful and do NOT bring your kids here in the middle of the day. So glad...

The view from this little hill is pretty nice, you can see downtown LA and to its further east.

The walk or hike or run to this spot, however, isn't the most pleasant. There are some homeless or weird people here or there, especially near highway 110. There are better view points in Elysian Park so I'll say you can skip this...
