ETO Doors — Attraction in Los Angeles

I have been in real estate construction field for over 25 years. Seldom have ever have I had such terrible service. Initially I ordered an Alder front door from Ram the salesman. 5 weeks later it showed up with a baseball size knot hole. When I rejected it, Cynthia told me that many people like a door with a huge knot. Really? They expected me to accept a defective door

Then I was told they would send me another door, so I foolishly added 15 interior doors including pocket doors to the first order. 6 weeks later the order was delivered. I asked Ram where were the pocket doors and frame. Ram told me the pocket doors were defective and he would reorder the pocket doors. Additionally the door jams were the cheapest quality. I had to pay hundreds of additional dollars to have the jams set up correctly.

Another 5 weeks go by and then ETO sent me a freight bill for the pocket doors. I asked them it they expected me to pay the freight for the defect doors that were not included in the original shipping bill. They did not answer my emails and calls for 3 days regarding the freight bill. On the 4th day I was told the new pocket doors were never ordered.

It has now been about 10 weeks since I originally ordered the pocket doors. I can't finish the dry wall, flooring, sheet rock and painting due to the pocket doors never arriving. ETO is not responding to my requests regarding my additional incurred expenses caused by the doors delay.

Ask Ram in the sales department why the pocket doors in Pleasant Hill had not arrived 10 weeks from the initial order.

After Ram and ETO customer service did not cooperate I went to Belmont Door and Hardware. I brought the invoice from ETO to order pocket doors. They were very detailed, professional, and less expensive. The guy also pointed out to me that Ram did not order all the correct parts on the initial ETO order. I wasn't surprised to hear this

I am now taking legal action since ETO will not respond or help me. Don't ever use ETO doors unless you want a nightmare and huge delay in your construction project.

I will not be surprised if ETO responds back with a bunch of excuses. They are great at covering...

Purchased this door from ETO doors and the inside frosted glass shattered for no reason! I called ETO doors to simply request that they fix the door and I would pay for the glass. They 1st told me they could repair but the man who did that was out due to a recent surgery. I called back after sometime to ask if they could repair the glass then Esther stated they don’t do that and they no longer carry that door in that model and size. I asked what can I do I like the door and just want the glass replaced they stated I could by another door, really another wrought iron wooden door with glass on both sides ? Lousy follow up on customer service and product . As a veteran regardless of any discounts I don’t recommend you purchase anything from ETO doors. After the purchase they will leave you high & dry. ETO just replied with inaccurate information, how can they be triste with taking care of you and your purchase. The door was not purchased 7 years ago as you state , but 11/22/20 not even five years ago, I contacted ETO almost 2 years ago with the issue and was assured you could help. That’s the only thing I wanted was guidance and direction on a failed product ETO made . I didn’t ask for a refund or anything of the sort just help. You apparently have your facts wrong , customer service lacking and spread misinformation, I stand by my statement and more so direct future customers to all the negative comments about ETO doors , service and quality. Worst experience ever!! I would never recommend this company to anyone at all!

Long story short- It took 7 months for us to get our doors, and after we gave them our money for 27 doors, They quit responding to us. I had to tell them I was contacting a lawyer, my doors arrived that day.

We were under the impression at the beginning that it would take 8-12 weeks, and it took 7 months. We were also under the impression that the doors were made in USA, and they are made in China!

The lack of communication, and the lengthy delivery time made us feel that this company was a borderline scam. My clients were asking for their money back, and I couldn't get anyone at ETO to respond, I have e-mails proving I tried many times to reach out, without responses.

There are plenty of other companies out there that make doors, and deliver on time, Stay clear of ETO! Unless you want to be stressed out, and ignored after you pay.

BTW, after 7 months, they told me I had to pay for a forklift to get the doors off the delivery truck, and that we paid for curbside delivery. I had to unload their delivery truck by hand, as they double stacked 600 lb pallets of doors on top of each other. The first delivery was double stacked, and the second delivery was as well. They sent them in a box truck, so no way, even with a forklift they were getting unloaded without doing it by hand. The delivery driver told me he didn't have time to wait for me to unload. I told him, "I waited 7 months for these doors, your not leaving with them" Later I found his log book torn to pieces in the road. My delivery time? 7pm! They showed at 6 pm and They left at 8:30 pm.

AT THE END OF THE DAY, THIS COMPANY IS UNRELIABLE, LACKS COMMUNICATION AND PROFESSIONALISM.
