LA OC CAR RENTAL — Attraction in Los Angeles

Our experience with LA OC Car Rental is mixed. When we arrived in LA, we were surprised to find out that the car rental company we originally chose (Alamo) did not accept our credit card. (Our card was from a non-major bank). LA OC Car Rental was quick to pick us up at Alamo and help us rent a car through them, at a better price than we were originally getting at Alamo. The car was great, clean and we were just happy to get our vacation started. For that we were very thankful.

The inconvenient thing is that when we came back to drop the car off at the pre-arranged time, no one was at the office, and it was locked. We had to call 4 times before someone came to meet us with the keys.

And about the deposit. In the contract it says it will be returned within 12 business days. Ours was not. We called, and they processed the return immediately AND sent a picture of the receipt. While we stressed about the deposit as other reviews mentioned issues, we eventually were given ours back.

Overall, we are thankful that we were able to rent a car and they helped us in our time of need. But I'm not sure that we would rent with them again because of the lack of communication and need for a follow up for...

We had a great experience renting a car from LA OC after our original booking with Alamo fell through – despite having a Visa Infinite credit card, Alamo wouldn’t accept our online banking. Thankfully, the team at LA OC, especially Alfredo, stepped in and truly saved the day. We’re incredibly grateful for their help and quick support in a stressful situation.

We rented a Toyota RAV4 for 12 days and drove over 1,600 miles almost without any issues. On the last day, the check engine light came on, which caused a bit of concern, but thankfully it didn’t affect the whole trip.

The only aspect that fell a bit short of a perfect experience was the deposit and insurance process. The deposit refund took 14 business days and required a quick follow-up via WhatsApp. Also, the insurance options weren’t quite as comprehensive as those offered by major rental companies. But these are minor trade-offs when working with a smaller rental company.

Overall, we had a positive experience and would recommend LA OC if you have been turned down by big rental guys. Big thanks...

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE! They will never refund your deposit! Tried calling them multiple times and each time Oscar never answered a single call. It was stated on the paperwork that my refund would be returned to me in a 72 hour period and that was a lie. It took me 13 days to receive a refund on my deposit and that was only because i had to go to the level of contacting my bank and the better business bureau to get LA OC to give me back my refund.
