We have been doing quite a lot of escape rooms over the past few months, so by this point I figured I had seen it all. Then Maze Escape rooms blew us away with Magic Kingdom, and I feel like I experience a new take on rooms that I highly recommend to both new players, and veterans alike. If you are experienced, don't expect a challenge, just enjoy the presentation and fact that you won't have to open a single lock, use a single key, or find any combinations. Every clue you solve is done through the use of the "Magic" (aka technology) in the rooms. Definitely bring kids as its geared towards them more.
We also stuck around and did a second run on Secret Mission, as we were really happy with Magic Kingdom. While the theme and some puzzles were cool, overall it didn't feel quite as cohesive to us. We did bring a kid (who was there for Magic Kingdom but stuck around with us), and another person who was experience escape rooms for the first time, but the other 4 of us have done around 8 different rooms by now. This was the second time we ever came close to failing, with the last time being the first game we ever attempted. The biggest hurdle I think came from us discovering a clue earlier than we were supposed to, which caused us to trigger a really cool event at the same time as we were trying to solve that puzzle, leading us to think it was already resolved when in fact it wasn't. After the game, when it was explained to us, it all made sense logically, but in the moment it tripped us up and caused us to lose quite a bit of time. This was also one of the first games where a puzzle was solved by doing seemingly unrelated (but clearly related in hindsight) puzzles that had gated us from progressing in the puzzles. I don't think this is entirely the fault of the game, because as a whole the experience was totally positive, but we went from solving rooms with 10-20 minutes left to getting out with 2 minutes left!
That being said, we are super excited to come back and try Lunar Mission in the future, the staff was engaged and helpful and the fact you get to wear costume pieces to enhance the experience...

I honestly do not recommend this place.
There were two people working the whole place and we arrive before our time which was 7:30pm and the two staff were communicating with each other that the previous group just got out like at 7:28pm.
And then one of the staff proceeded to go prep the room from that point on and he finished resetting the room by 8pm. Mind you, we were scheduled for 7:30pm slot. When he was done he didn’t even apologize for delaying our experience by 30mins and just took us to our room. Didn’t even really explain the room and just sent us over.
When we asked for clues the lady with the nose piercing in middle of her nose was VERY rude and short with us as if she did not want to run the rooms. Even when we were waiting thirty mins for the guy to reset the room she was just on her phone.
We ended up having to stop in middle of the game because there were SEVERAL malfunctions and things were not properly. One of the biggest concern was the escape button to open the door in case of an emergency was NOT working meaning the door wouldn’t open when it was supposed to.
We asked for a refund and the lady proceeded to be very rude and said we will receive our refund in 5-7 business days with absolutely no apology. Like I know you don’t own the place because you sure act like you don’t but please be advised that you are the face of the company and a part of the customer experience. If you don’t want to work there, please don’t and ruin it for everyone. Don’t just say that this specific game breaks down often and expect us to understand. If it breaks down often, you guys should do something about it.
We do weekly escape rooms and this was the WORST experience ever. This was also the first time we had to stop in middle...
Read moreThe room I played was the sky odyssey, and I was disappointed with the quality of puzzles in the room. The design of the space was immersive, and the concept was clever enough that it could have been fun, but it fell short in other ways. I tried to keep this review spoiler free, but this is what I wish I would have known before going in.
The puzzles are extremely linear, so you have to do things in a very specific order to complete the room. Many of the puzzles did not have auditory or visual indicators to show that the solution had been found, and some of the puzzles failed to work even when we completed the steps. The game master helped us the best she could to figure out what was going wrong, but even she seemed fed up with the non-intuitive puzzle design.
My largest issue with this room is accessibility. There is a significant amount of crawling and climbing needed in this room, several puzzles needed to be solved following difficult-to-hear audio instructions, and the room was also too dimly lit to see much of the time.
I will say, if I had never done an escape room before this may have been an interesting room. It would probably be fun for an 8-year old’s...
