I was looking for a better nail shop a couple of months ago after leaving the previous one I used for some years because of the poor customer service that started. I was so happy to find this location closer to me. The first day I walked in, the manager or owner immediately greeted me. I wanted a mani pedi, and I was quickly placed in the chair. I don't really like having my manicure and pedicure done at the same time because it interrupts your relaxation and your constantly pulled in different directions. However the man that did my pedicure didn't speak any English so it was hard to communicate what I wanted. The water was cold, but I I was allowed to soak my feet long and the massage was nice. He put old polish on my toes that was clumpy, so the manager had to take over. The lady that did my nails didn't speak much but she did a great job and the hand massage was nice so I decided to give it another try. On my 2nd visit a different lady did my pedicure it was a little better than the 1st and the massage was decent. I got the same lady who did my pedicure before so I was content. When I returned the 3rd time I got the same lady for my pedicure and she also did my manicure. She got upset because I asked to soak my feet a little longer and I wasn't sure why because it wasn't busy. She began speaking in her language to the other ladies. I kinda ignored it and she continued doing the pedicure. In the middle of my pedicure she asked another lady to finish who had just started working, then she started my manicure. When it came to my massages for my feet and hands they didn't do it so I politely asked why? I was told they don't give the massage and it was extra price. I explained that I received them before but they refused and then the lady doing my pedicure started raising her voice and speaking her language as if she was mad. I was very disappointed and won't be back. People are spending $65 to $100 for services and they can't get a simple massage anymore. Nail places aren't what they used to be. I hate to give this place 2 stars it was very clean and organized and I felt welcomed. People need to start considering what they say in other languages because their are translation apps now. Read moreI made a reservation for gel removal and then builders gel on my natural nails. Total was going to be $65 (when you make an online reservation it tells you the total and prices). When I arrived again I re-iterated I wanted removal and builders gel. I was asked if I wanted French tip. I asked how much for that and was told $15 and $95 with French tip, I said no because that’s way too much from the original $65 quote when reserving. I get my nails done (which btw the gel really hurt, I’ve never had hurt pain when getting gel nails before, like a super strong burning sensation) and when it’s time to pay I get told $85. I asked for a breakdown because I got removal and builders gel. Then I get told I got hard gel. I’m like no I asked for builders gel idk what hard gel is. Then they went on to say that I got hard gel on my natural nails, like I’m not a nail tech, if you guys can’t tell the difference between builders and hard gel then how do you expect me (not a nail tech or expert in nail stuff) to know what you are putting on me. Then you say you are sorry for the misunderstanding, but if you were really sorry you wouldn’t be trying to charge me for something I didn’t ask for. That was on you not me. Won’t be going back. Felt like bait and switch. Only giving 3 stars because the person who did my nails was kind and worked promptly.
So tip to anyone going, make sure to ask for breakdowns of charges before you start and make sure to reiterate what you...
