Been eating here for more than a decade and every bowl of pho is just as good as my first. Of all the pho joints in Ktown, this is one of my fav spots because their broth is on point. Will cure any hangover or cold, guaranteed.
I always get their large combo pho with a side of cha gio aka eggrolls. Their spring rolls are very good as well. The fried rice and vermicelli options are solid too. Thai iced tea is tasty, and their iced coffee puts Red Bull to shame.
If you have a hard time finishing an entire serving of pho by yourself, order the large with an extra side of broth with your to-go order and it's just enough to split between two people, esp if you order the cha gio. They will also split your order in two if you're eating in as well.
It does get very busy here, so patience is sometimes necessary when ordering and waiting for food. The women who work here hustle but can be overwhelmed with large groups or a full house. Be nice, or order by phone and pick it up to go if you're ordering during peak hours to avoid the wait ;)
Parking can be somewhat a challenge as the lanes are sized ridiculously narrow. Most people find it difficult to park between the lines - it's not an Asian thing, the parking lot just sucks in that way lol. The entrance to the lot is one-way and towards the north side of the lot. You have to make a somewhat illegal and tricky left turn if you're going north on Vermont - timing is key. The south side (closer to Lock & Key) is also one-way for...
Read morePho Legend in Koreatown is a gem for those seeking a satisfying Vietnamese dining experience. Upon my first visit, I was greeted with a plethora of tempting options on the menu, making it a tough decision to choose. Starting with the sensational egg rolls, I was immediately impressed by the generous filling that set them apart from the usual vegetable-packed rolls. Crispy, meaty, and utterly delicious, they set a high standard for the rest of the meal.
Opting for the chicken pho with egg noodles instead of the traditional rice noodles was a nice twist, and adding charbroiled chicken and shrimp elevated the dish. The recommended charbroiled pork chop - oh my! boasting a flavorful and meaty taste. The combination chow mein was a saucy noodle dish though I look forward to trying the crispy version on my next visit.
The service at Pho Legend is truly exceptional, with a warm greeting upon arrival and attentive care throughout the meal. The bright, spacious, and clean ambiance, paired with energizing happy music, creates a welcoming and lively atmosphere that enhances the entire experience.
Overall, a fantastic blend of fun and professionalism, offering quality Vietnamese cuisine, top-notch service, and a vibrant setting. It's a must-visit for anyone looking to indulge in flavorful dishes and enjoy a memorable...
Read moreIt was my first time eating here and hate to say that I wasn’t impressed by the service. The customer service from the waitress who seated us was rather disappointing. My husband and I had put our order in only to wait about nearly 20 mins for our pho, while other customers (who came after us) got their appetizers and entrees BEFORE us even though we ordered first! At this point there had been at least 9-11 or so orders placed out before ours and so we decided to ask the waitress who seated us, why others were getting their food before us even though we had ordered first. She proceeded to say, “Oh well the order is put in system and when it’s ready they ring the bell.” She didn’t apologize at all or didn’t go check to see what had happened. We waited another 4-5 minutes to finally get our order. She and other staff didn’t check on us at all throughout our time.
First impression is such an important factor when it comes to any company/restaurant, especially customer service. I just expected more care for customers at a place that has such positive reviews. Might to need to retrain their staff to have better customer service etiquette.
I rate the experience as a 2 star, the third star being that the food was actually great. But overall, the lack of hospitality here made me feel...
