Print Renegades - Screen Printing — Attraction in Los Angeles

Print Renegades just did an excellent job for me, printing text on long 4” wide strips, the border “blocks” that will frame several quilts. Prior to working with PR, I had hand lettered my quilt borders, but now I’m making more quilts so decided to take a chance on digital printing. The text spacing was perfect, which was a challenge given the slim 1/4” margins and three different text blocks, one for the left border, one for the right and one for the quilt bottom. The printed letters were crisp and easier to read than my hand lettered ones even though they were a smaller font. With a couple of email exchanges to discuss my instructions, Edgar had no problem getting the spacing and lettering right. I found PR initially by cold calling a few digital print shops. When I spoke with PR's owner J.D., I had a good conversation so decided to visit the shop with my partially finished quilts to be sure it was something they could do. I have been using Print Renegades for about 4 years. I live in San Francisco California but I drive all the way to Los Angeles for all my print services because they know the printing business. Staff never tries to upsell you on merchandise or products and will actually discourage you from buying things you don't need. They recommend best products for your printing needs and price range. They always send you a sample of the work before printing anything and once you approve the work the printing is done quickly; no long wait times. The colors of my t-shirt designs last for years and I have never had any problems with fading. I would highly recommend Print Renegades for all your printing needs. I will be moving to Georgia soon and will still use Print Renegades for all my print services. The good thing is they can accommodate your print needs no matter what state you live in. We had a run of shirts printed. About 10% of the shirts were unsellable by our standards. We contacted them for a refund on the damaged shirts and they accused us of milking them for money. We sent images and they explained that there were always inconsistencies and we were being to picky. It was a digital print, not a screen print. I'd never work with this company again. We tried to compromise with them and they just insulted me further. Rude.

Yes they offered for me to ship them back to them at my cost, so they could be the judge of whether they were acceptable. I should mention, when I sent photos they told me I was not being understanding that some would not be perfect. Does this image look acceptable to you? Then I was offered a refund that was less than half the cost of the 32 shirts that were misprinted. Yes 32!

But it was the way we were spoken to that is why I stopped responding. Again just rude and insulting. See the other comments here and you will know this is how they do...
