BEST SALON in LA! I started coming to Salon True in 2018, with Elia as my stylist and I cannot say enough good things about this salon, the staff, stylists, ambiance & results! Let me tell you, my experience as someone who’s tried several salons in SoCal. I walked in back in 2018 after finding their instagram page and decided to give them a try. I thought I would be greeted by an intimidating & pretentious environment as this is a high end salon, however it was quite the opposite! The salon owner and my stylist Elia welcomes you with a warm and inviting smile and treats you like you’re family. And don’t let his humble & super kind demeanor fool you - He’s an absolute beast when it comes to coloring, balayage, styling and cutting hair. I’ve never had so many compliments on my hair and I never hesitate to let them know who does this perfectly melted balayage that seemingly is always a tone that always brightens my eyes and complexion! Elia is an absolute genius artist! Don’t fret if you don’t get Elia, each stylist has been trained with his technique and it’s so heartwarming to see him work closely with his other stylists and train them to be the best at what they do. He truly ensures his team is equipped with the most cutting edge techniques to guarantee each client walks out feeling and looking like the best version of themselves. Like a celebrity professionally made over for the red carpet! I’ve talked to many clients I’ve met at the salon over the years and it’s truly NOT surprising that every one I’ve talked to has stuck with salon true for years and doesn’t plan on ever leaving! Trust Salon True and see what all the rave is about. They are the BEST in the game. I promise you, I’ve seen and...
Read moreI wasn’t going to post this but after coming back home and saw my shirt and did a lot of reflection, I could say that I am disappointed at what they’ve done to my hair and clothes. I worn my favorite bright green top to the appointment, only to realized later on that my top is completely ruined from the bleach. I did worn the cape/protection at all times, but that didn’t protect my top, my skin at all. The toner also dripped on my pants but luckily I pointed that out (as I could see it but the ruins on the top was at the back side so I obviously can’t see it) and got rid of it. I tried washing it but the top is now ruined. I had to throw it away, and it was my favorite top. The hair dresser, Jessica was nice but I was disappointed that she didn’t finished blowing my hair till it’s dried. She said she’ll be here all day long cuz my hair refused to let the water go. (?) I didn’t say anything cuz I didn’t want to cause any negative interaction but I really feel like it wasn’t my responsibility and I don’t deserved to be walking back home w my hair wet when I paid $420 + $20 tips for that. Plus, the ruined top. I was shaking from the cold coming back home. Jessica did asked me to sign the paper confirming that I agreed to understand that my hair won’t turn out the exact way I wanted which I understand but I also didn’t expect the extreme shift of color, from top to end to be this different. Overall, I am very disappointed, and would not be coming...
Read moreI’ve been coming here for three years but after the past two visits, I won’t be. I understand that stylists rates can go up, but the fact the rate for a simple root touch up went from $90 to $120 in three years is insanity. Plus, the salon charged me $125 for a simple square cut. Due to the outrageous pricing, I will be looking for another salon.
Edit: The owner called me and in her voicemail she stated that prices have gone up due to rising costs with products. That is understandable for a root touch up but for a hair cut??? Charging $125 for a stylist to use a pair of scissors? With no layering at all? That’s bogus. I felt really scammed as I have never, ever paid more than $60 for a simple cut. Go somewhere else. Nothing they say can justify charging that much for a haircut.
Update: I went to a different salon in Sherman Oaks and they charged $60 for a root touch up and $45 for a simple square cut. Again, NOTHING justifies this pricing. I honestly feel I have been scammed. The fact the blonde receptionist tried to gaslight me by saying that $125 is affordable for a hair cut in LA is unacceptable. Extremely disappointed in this salon, especially since I was a loyal customer...
