THE ONE BEAUTY HAIR SALON — Attraction in Los Angeles

I am here out of town on business and made a last minute appointment for a brow wax, brow tent, eye lash tent and upper lip wax with Wesley. After he finished, I looked in the mirror and at first glance everything seemed okay. I admit, I was in a rush to leave because I needed to get back to my puppy. Additionally, the lighting at the salon was very poor and it was hard to see my face in great detail. In trust, and because I desperately wanted to get back to my dog, I paid the $200 fee and left. When I stepped outside into the natural sunlight, I looked into the mirror again, and I was shocked! My left eye brow is longer than my right, my lashes and brows did not look any darker than before, and my upper lip was still covered with patchy blonde hair. To make matters worse, I now have a terrible red and bumpy rash from the wax on my upper lip. I immediately called the salon in tears and explained my situation. I was told in a very harsh tone, that the only solution was for me to come back into the salon. I repeatedly told the salon that I am here for work and do not have anymore free time to come back in to have my face fixed. I asked them to refund half the amount since it was a botched job and they refused to accommodate. They continued to talk down to me. I explained over and over to the salon staff, that I do not have anymore time in my schedule, and I can’t come back in. I told the salon that I would call my bank and dispute the charge and the front desk person rudely said, “go ahead, we have cameras.” I am in complete shock as to the tone, the lack of empathy and understanding that this establishment had for my situation. I feel very embarrassed that my face looks as badly as it does since using their services. Sadly, I will to try and fix my face myself with tweezers and hopefully the red rash will go away after I use my red light. I do not recommend this salon to anyone. The service was terrible, the staff was defensive and rude and when I finally spoke with the owner she was equally as rude and demeaning towards me and hung up on me before we were able to come...

Normally don't write bad reviews but it's been a couple of months and it's still bothering me / would like to protect others from spending their $ here. Not going to name the hairstylist but he's mentioned in reviews a lot and was

30 minutes late & pretty unapologetic (said he had to get lunch) applied a $150 gloss I didn't ask for gave highlights that went very brassy within one wash.

I had an event and asked for a super high maintenance style, I will admit. He was great and got another hairstylist to help, but it was nothing like what I asked for. I had to re-do it for the event.

overall, very likable staff but IMO they need to be way more buttoned up - ask to look at photos, keep you across everything they're doing to your hair, and just be respectful if they're late. It was a $700 bill for something that did not look or feel great so just want to put it out there as an alternative to the other...

I was really struggling with a hair emergency after coloring my own hair and ending up with extremely dry and brittle sections of hair. I was so disheartened thinking that I would be stuck with it but thank heavens I found this salon because Wesley absolutely saved my hair. He was so helpful figuring out what to do and did an amazing treatment that brought my hair back to life so much beyond what I thought would be possible! It is feeling and looking so soft, smooth, and healthy!

We also decided to do a cut on my hair which came out beautifully. I usually cut my own hair but am so happy I trusted him because the cut helped so much with the final result looking as excellent as it does!
