We were there on a Sunday night and it was amazing. Absolutely beautiful after dark and we felt totally safe the entire time. Security was present and abundant. The lights on the bridge made for stunning views. Highly recommend for a nice walk. It is an easy ramped incline that is very handicapped accessible. There are also bathrooms and food vendors available.

Such a beautiful view, and I loved to see so many different members of the community. As someone who was visiting from California I felt very welcome.

It was nice for someone passing through the area. Personally I used the "avoid highways" option in Google Maps, which ended up taking me through a few streets in the busy downtown area before dropping me off at the Bridge. This was nice because I feel like I was able to get a "vibe" of the downtown just by driving through.

Parking was easy. The people were a good mix of family and lone exercisers, and couples. It had a low+key vibe which I like. Something to note, I noticed several police officers which I guess helps for that safe feeling, but makes me wonder if it was unsafe at some point or perhaps some illegal activity going on. Anyways I felt very safe as a solo traveler.

Definitely worth...

A must see if you live in or travel to Louisville. There is a pizza place on the Indiana side of the bridge. Great stop for a drink and lunch/dinner before walking back. We walked to Indiana while the sun was out and back to Kentucky after sunset. Was beautiful seeing the bridge and downtown lights at night too. Also a lot of history and occasional street...
