We visited here last Saturday for a night out for my friend's bachelorette trip.
We managed to find parking pretty easily, which was nice considering the relative proximity to downtown. It took some wandering to actually find our way into the restaurant, and what limited signage there was wasn't super helpful - eventually, an elevator brought us up to where we needed to be.
Our reservation was honored though I'm not sure how needed it was; they weren't super busy. It took a minute for our table to be ready but we did get a nice view of the city. One huge drawback was that the rooftop area smelled like sewage. I don't imagine that was the restaurant's fault, but at the same time, it was pretty unpleasant. Also, our table was in a spot on the roof that didn't seem to get any heating. On the one hand, sitting outside always runs the risk of getting chilly, but on the other hand, there were heat lamps directed at other tables but ours sadly wasn't in the line of "fire," as it was lol. By the time the sun went down we were pretty cold.
Service was decent - definitely pleasant and helpful - but there were several hiccups. The food was a little slow to come out and the bride's side order of potatoes was forgotten until we reminded them and then they were not brought out till we were almost done eating. Also, one of the girls who ordered a mocktail drank it only to realize that it definitely was not alcohol free. Luckily she wasn't the DD or trying super hard to stay sober, but that was quite a surprise! They did generously offer to split our checks, but we wound up just paying for one cause we wanted to get out of the cold.
The food menu is kind of tiny and kind of pricy but the dishes do seem as though someone put a lot of careful thought into them. Just make sure they're serving something you'd like before you go cause I can see someone coming here and not being able to find something to their liking due to the somewhat limited menu. The cocktail menu is extensive and creative and a lot of the drinks have fun and clever names. I'm not a big alcohol drinker so I kept it to water, but I heard mostly positive stuff about the drinks from those who did partake.
I split a pimento cheese and chips appetizer with one of the other bridesmaids to start and it was definitely the low point food-wise. The chips were a little soggy/chewy, most were portioned directly on top of the pimento cheese (which worsened the sogginess), and the pimento cheese itself was super runny instead of chunky, oddly on the sweeter side, and just didn't taste much like pimento cheese. It reminded me of a slightly cheesy mayo-ketchup sauce like you'd dip fries in. They did let us get some extra chips to go with it so that was nice.
My entree was much better -- the umami burger was insanely juicy (so much so it get all over my hands!) and indeed very savory. I really did enjoy it. The bun held up pretty well too, which was surprising given how juicy the burger was. The potatoes served with it were also good, kind of gourmet-feeling, though honestly I'd probably have been just as happy with some fries, haha.
Didn't hear too much from others about the food, although the MOH said she really liked the kale salad she got, so that's good!
Honestly, I'd probably rate my experience a 3.5 but sadly half-stars aren't an option. If I'm ever in the area again I'd be willing to give this place...

All the time I had to wait at the bar, to then be ignored ...not so many stars.
It was my first visit and I had very high expectations which the decor, ambience and view exceeded.
Hoping I just got the place on a bad night when perhaps they were understaffed or had to bring in the C- crew or something like that because I've received dramatically friendlier, faster and better service from bartenders and wait staff who were dramatically more busy at other great places.
The onami? burger was an epicurean delight. And the chips that come with, which I'm guessing they make in house, probably make other chips feel uncomfortably inadequate. I didn't try anything else but I would feel confident betting that everything on the menu is delicious.
However be warned, it's a very limited menu and I don't believe there is anything in the way of "healthy" sides. If you're looking for healthy, this may not be your best choice.

Read moreHidden gem? We came for the distillery tour and because of the incredible experience with Daniel and Jessie we came back for dinner. Copper & Kings did not disappoint. Our server Tawana (spelling?) was so kind and informative and really enhanced our experience. The food…my god the FOOD! So delicious. We had the Salmon Tartare and the Scallops. I am still dreaming about the scallops…the chef executed the meal and presentation perfectly. The grounds are beautiful. I loved the pollinator garden and just the open design of the facility. And how can I forget Maple!! They have a resident dog. She made a trip back 100% worth it. She is 13/10 a good girl and deserves a raise. But honestly….Of all the distilleries and restaurants we visited this week between here and Nashville, this was the most memorable. We will be coming back when we...
