Thomas Edison House — Attraction in Louisville

The name is kind of misleading, he didn't really live there a lot. He just rented it out for period of time while he worked at a telegraph place. But it's cheap. And the guy that's running it seemed pretty cool. He even put a lightbulb from the display case in a working socket because the old one burned out. I'm not sure where the old one went but it's probably sitting in one of the display cases there. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because a lot of the stuff there is reproduction but they have air conditioning so...

That was nice being there with my 10-year-old son. The gentelman who explained there was very nice, kind and lovely elderman. You can find kind of cool antice items there that can make your kids and even you surprise besides some information about Edison and hix life style. If you are a student at school or college you will pay only 3 dollars and if not was 5 or 6 I think. There was no parking problem on the weekend. You will take about 1 hour or so there. I just loved my visit to this Edison Museum. Vicki, the director and docent was fun and knowledgeable about all things Edison. I learned so much and would recommend this tour to any age group. Wonderful examples of Edison's life work. I mainly associate him with the electric lightbulb, but there is so much more to his story. Vicky made his history come alive.
