Nook & Nowhere is Shelby Park's hidden gem you need to discover!
Since its opening, Nook & Nowhere has quickly become my absolute favorite coffee spot, and I can't recommend it enough! This place is truly magical. From the moment you step inside, you're enveloped in a warm, inviting atmosphere that's both stylish and cozy.
First off, the interior is absolutely gorgeous! It's a bookstore, a coffee shop, a wine bar, and a cocktail lounge all rolled into one, creating the perfect backdrop for work, relaxation, or catching up with friends.
Their wine and cocktail selection is top-notch! And their amazing patio is the perfect setting for a leisurely evening enjoying a bottle of wine, cocktail, or iced coffee.
Even though I'm not a coffee drinker, I’ve found myself completely hooked on their coffee! It's honestly the best I've ever had, and I’m now a convert. I need my vanilla latte!
What truly sets Nook & Nowhere apart is its versatility. Whether you're looking for a quiet place to work, a relaxing spot to enjoy a treat, or a lively venue to meet with friends, this place delivers. The patio is a dream, perfect for those warm days, and the indoor space is just as inviting!
The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, adding to the overall wonderful experience. If you're looking for a unique and delightful spot in Louisville, look no further than...
Read moreFive stars for potential, which this place certainly has. This is a bar/lounge/coffee shop hybrid. They took the space that was Trouble Bar and added some bookshelves. You can now read a book while you have your cocktail, wine, coffee, or other beverage. You can donate books here and get a free book for every 10 you donate. They donate a dollar from every book sold to the Louisville Public Library.
I hope they turn the music down in the future because I feel like it is a bit too noisy to be a quiet reading place, and I hope the book selection grows and includes more non-fiction stuff.
You can also buy coffee grounds and books and little accessories here, too.
It all feels very instagram-able. We will see if the concept has staying power and if they keep up a healthy book selection and atmosphere.
The staff was nice.
I think adding seating back to the bar would help, too. They also still have the "Shot and Beer for $5" deal that Trouble Bar had when they were here for...
Read moreThe chill that descended into my bones on my midwinter run felt as if it would never dissipate when I saw the beacon that was the sign for Nook & Nowhere. Mercifully, it had opened for the first time mere minutes before my arrival. As I entered, feelings came over me that I thought had been lost to the elements. Warmth. Comfort. Coffee. Books. You may be thinking "coffee and books aren't feelings," but anyone who loves coffee and books would argue otherwise. People greeted me as if we were dear friends seeing each other after a short absence. Cozy couches greeted me as if they knew of the journey I had been on to arrive here. A cup of coffee seemed to appear in my hands of it's own volition and as I sipped it - black, of course - I knew I was seeing the dawn of...
