I purchased over $7000 worth of bedroom furniture, a kitchen table, and bar stools. On the day of delivery the table top was set for me to pick up and all of the other furniture was being delivered. I called the night before and the person in customer service told me everything would be fine. The next morning I received a phone call from the driver letting me know that one part of my table was being delivered and the other part was set for pick up at the store. I let him know that I spoke with someone in customer service and that everything was supposed to be corrected. I then received another phone call from Kenosha Barnes in customer service who told me that the person who gave me the information the night before was incorrect but gave me the phone # of Janet Marin, the manager of the Wellington store and a week later I had to wait again for the table base and top to be shipped together. My other issue was when I received my 3 bar stools, one was wobbly and the delivery tech realized that one of the floor gliders was missing from one of the legs. I made the mistake of asking him, “Should I decline the chair and have it sent back or should I wait for the part?” The delivery tech called customer service as they do when they deliver items to your home and had me speak to the person at City Furniture, they both told me there was no problem, I should keep the chair and they took a picture of the bottom of the chair and said someone would be in contact with me to come and fix the chair. After several weeks of not receiving a phone call I called into customer service and they said that there was no record on file of my issue, according to customer service all of my furniture was delivered in good order. I reached out again to the Janet, store manager of Wellington, she did not return my call. I then received a call from a James Caprio who sent me a text to see how my furniture was. I sent him a text back explaining the entire story and no response from him either??? I wonder why would someone from an organization would call to find out how your order was but then not respond… guess they just don’t care. My advice would be if your going to shop there make sure your furniture is perfect or no one will help you… very disappointed in my...
Read moreIn January of 2021, I opened a City Furniture credit card and purchased several items. The waiting process began. In March I received a call regarding delivery of my bed but the headboard was missing so the bed could not be assembled. I called the Wellington store and the employee was very dismissive, saying that there was nothing they could do, the delays were due to COVID. Due to the poor costumer service that I received, I canceled my order but I was not fully refunded. I called the store again and spoke with Tiger, the manager, he apologized and offered a discount on a future order and persuaded me to order another bed in addition to other items. Months passed without delivery of my full bed. Other items that were delivered were damaged, stained, and in the wrong colors. The managers offered small credits. When the headboard was finally delivered it was broken and the bed could not be assembled. The rails and screws were left on my bedroom floor. In October, after 9 months, I went into the store and spoke with Weston. He said the bed I chose was no longer being manufactured and suggested that I choose another bed. He gave me a delivery date for 11/22. That bed also arrived broken. When I called the store manager, I was told they would send a loaner bed which I never received and no one contacted me regarding a resolution.
I posted a complaint on Facebook about City Furniture. As a result, the manager, Weston called me. The excuse for not getting back to me was that they were short of staff. A representative from City Furniture’s Facebook team called me. I asked for a full refund. I was told I could not be refunded. I became angry and tearful, in addition, very frustrated at which time the representative hung up on me.
I have spent over 10,000 dollars at that store. I paid premium delivery and 3 year protection plans and warranties on every single item that I purchased from City Furniture. I have taken time off work for deliveries that never came, and after one year wait my furniture never arrived. It is such a horrible experience. This store does not care about their costumers, they do not help them and all they care about is charging our credit cards for items that are no longer being...

Location: Boca Raton, FL and Wellington, FL
I recently visited both the Boca Raton and Wellington locations of City Furniture, and my experiences at each store were quite different.
Boca Raton Location: At the Boca Raton store, the service was outstanding. Jasmine, the representative who assisted us, was incredibly helpful and professional. Despite our purchase being a low-cost item from the showroom, Jasmine treated us with respect and provided excellent service. She even arranged a convenient future pickup time for us. Jasmine’s customer-centric approach truly made our shopping experience pleasant and hassle-free.
Wellington Location: Unfortunately, my experience at the Wellington location was not as positive. We attempted to purchase an item off the floor and spoke with the sales representative, Jason. Jason informed us that we would need a third party to help remove the item from the showroom, which was baffling. Why their employees could not arrange to do it in the future is beyond me. Additionally, the manager, Janet, was less than helpful and seemed indifferent to our request. I offered to pick up the item in the future, giving the store ample time to prepare and remove it, but Jason did not seem to care. Janet did not acknowledge us, her lack of assistance and concern was disappointing, especially after the wonderful service we received in Boca Raton.
Overall: The contrast between the two locations is stark. The Boca Raton store, thanks to Jasmine, provided a fantastic shopping experience with attentive and courteous service. On the other hand, the Wellington location failed to meet our expectations due to the unhelpful attitude of the manager, Janet, and the puzzling requirement to use a third party for removing the item.
I hope City Furniture takes note of these differences and strives to provide consistently excellent service across all their locations.
