**Just an update! Even if we still have tamales at home, me and my husband have made it tradition that when we drive home (about a 45 min drive) we stop and get "road tamales." And then we devour those little Texas Treasures in enough time to be in the Guinness Book of World Records! True story! 😆 All the while checking our shirts for gems, aka crumbs. Pork for me, pork & chicken for my Honeybear. (No chicken for me because they are a bit spicy & I'm a wiennie. 😁 But they are very delicious! Also in the meat market they have marinated meat that all you need to do is cook it. No extra seasoning needed & that too is delish!! (BTW I recommend the already marinated Al Pastor meat.) When I visited today, September 28, I bought 18 tamales and specifically only chile and cheese. However, when I returned home, I discovered that 14 of them contained chicken instead of chili and cheese. The chicken tamales were dry and tasteless; in addition, grab the side/pot specifically of the tamales that claimed to be chile and cheese. The inclusion of chicken tamales, despite not being advertised as an option along with the pork and chile and cheese varieties, suggests a possible strategy to redistribute the inventory of a less popular product. I bought meats from there the cashier charge for everything but I didn't receive my chicken i went back when I noticed it which was less then 10 minutes after I left the store I went back and told the cashier I was missing the chicken and she said it wasn't her problem so I lost $18.00 this place doesn't have any good customer service they lost my business and I'll start shopping...
