DICK'S Sporting Goods — Attraction in Lynchburg

On more than one occasion at the Lynchburg, VA location, I have picked up an item and waited in line to find out the price was "marked incorrectly" and was not compensated in anyway for the inconvenience. One time an associate said they would honor the price, and after waiting in line, come to find out that the cashier wouldn't listen to that associate. Is it too hard to ask that the prices on the price tag be the correct price for the item?? On the most recent trip I had a gift card and attempted to purchase ammo. It was the only product on the shelf and the only price on the shelf and again after we waited in line up at the register we were told it was going to be $20 more and we could take it or leave it. We went to find the manager, who was busy talking on his cell phone and didn't even acknowledge our presence. We immediately left and went and bought the same ammo elsewhere. If I didn't have a gift card (which I wish I could now redeem for cash) I would not spend another dollar here. I have better things to do than waste time figuring out that the store is unorganized and they don't care to help. My family has purchased multiple pairs of shoes here now. There's a great selection and I was also VERY pleasantly surprised by the DSG Molded Slides / aka Recovery Slides! They're at a good price point and had a lot of colors. They're perfect house shoes, IMO.

So much value in handling an item before you buy it, especially when it comes to kids' tennis racquets! I was glad to see they had plenty of each size available, and it made it really easy to find a good fit. I wish there was a more gender neutral color option in the 19" size because then I would have bought two racquets while here instead of one. Also, the prices were about the same as other options online, so they got our business for 1 out of 2 racquets.

Some things here definitely cost more, for example the footballs. I would have bought one from the store, but knowing it was twice as expensive as a comparable Wilson NFL official size football online was too big a deterrent. All that to say, some things are priced well and others...

So I pressed the button a teammate came to unlock it, who didn't look happy to be at work at all. So I use it an go to check out an had to wait for other people to check out..no problem right!
