Road and construction sounds fade a couple hundred feet from Lakeside Drive to be replaced by chattering squirrels, woodpeckers, and titmouse. Watch carefully for remnants of a 1940s era stone fire circle and BBQ pit closer to the lake. We didn’t pass one living soul on this trail, though the spirit of an unburied Union soldier is said to roam the banks of College Lake.

Not to bad. Grass and grounds well maintained. Pretty with lot of old trees. Only negative thing...A LOT of Cigarette butts all over the place near pavilions. Gotta love inconsiderate ppl. Maybe put out some ash tray areas? But...

our local Parks and Rec is fabulous! They offer so many different classes (pottery!!!! yippee !!) and so many local events. They are such a great civic public service. The recent “art in the park” event was so much fun! Can’t wait...
