A colleague and I sometimes come to Lynchburg for business and stay 5 days at a time. King House used to be our to-go place for good chinese. The last 2 times the restaurant has been dirty. The lady ignored me too on my last visit. She left out an extra egg roll I ordered. When I told her she ignored me. I had to talk louder than I normally would and got a little frustrated with her. She was basically trying to cheat me out of the egg roll. She started to pretend she didn't speak english then thought better of it. She just gave up and said "OK" and gave me the egg roll. I asked her what that was all about and she just shrugged her shoulders and said "You got it, you can leave. Bye". Disappointed. The food was OK, not as good as before. They've changed and the lady was trying to pull a fast one. Better chinese food can be found at Jade Palace. If you find yourself here at King House, check your bag and your receipt. I ordered seafood delight and paid extra for EXTRA SHRIMP i also paid extra for shrimp fried rice for my husband who is away working and I wanted him to have a good meal. The delivery person never even knocked on his door. They just dropped the food on the ground and left. When I texted they didn't answer. My husband opened his door to look around and there was the food on the ground. When he opened it there was only 4 shrimp in the SEAFOOD delight NO EXTRA SHRIMP no other seafood except some fake crab... and the SHRIMP fried rice only had 2 tiny shrimp in the entire container. I intentionally placed an online pick up order for lunch simply because it’s convenient in proximity to where I work, and they wouldn’t answer the phone after calling several times to place an order. Not to mention, they never have more than 3 to 5 customers in the store at one given time when I have been there, so the lack of promptness genuinely makes no sense to me. I truly love the food that this restaurant offers, but this bad service, the fighting right in front of you, and the lack of sanitation is enough to drive anyone away there is no sanitation rating present, the woman touches food with the same glove that she uses to prepare the food.
