It was much larger museum than you would think from the outside. It actually covers three floors starting in the basement with wagons of the past to the horseless carriages. Then second and third floor with the way it was shops and farm life scenes with the tools they used. It was fun way to spend an hour or so enjoying the life of the past.
I remember the old style corner soda fountain store, the old dentist office that we all were afraid of with those terrifying noises the drill made, the old train sets we loved to play with and the hard life of the pioneers.

Read moreArrived early for a horse and carriage ride for the Christmas Season! We were super excited! We checked in and were told our name would be called on the PA. We waited on site, heard nothing, and re-checked after a half an hour. We were told our name was called, we missed it, and therefore the ride was cancelled! We were standing up front the whole time and never heard our or anyone’s names! My wife and daughter were upset and when asked why by the board vice president, I explained and he said they don’t have a PA? Please don’t offer a service and not follow through and make it right. My family has assisted the museum and the City of Lynden with service for many years. Honestly, we felt betrayed....
