Have you ever wanted to walk into a Hallmark movie moment. That's the feeling in this quaint store, that is welcoming and the hub of the community. After enjoying a cup of coffee and treat browse the shelves and even stay for a game of chess. But before you leave a make sure to leave with a bag of their freshly roasted coffee or a warm loaf of bread Overall a Very friendly and helpful entitlement that I will visit often.

We visited for the first time during the Lynden Whiskey Walk. It has a comfortable, cozy atmosphere inside. There were lots of people who had delicious looking bites to eat and friendly staff was on hand to help. I really appreciated that they had chairs to lounge in. This was a lively stop on the whiskey tour and they even had live music with seating set up for people to come in and enjoy. Loved it.

This place is the best. The smell of musty old books and fresh roasted (right there!) coffee beans. The very kind and knowledgeable barista. The assortment of books of all kinds, but with a focus on Christian books. Fresh baked sourdough. Nothing beats it! It’s a popular spot for a reason. Best coffee shop around, we always visit when we’re in town.

Nice quiet little shop with lots of interesting books. I enjoyed the layout of the various sections which give a purposeful stroll through the isles. Flavorful coffee and the smell of beans add to the allure of this quaint shop. I even stopped with my son at a little table to play a game of chess that was laid out for us. At first he got the upper hand, but I was able to exercise a skewer maneuver to take his queen. He was so upset, which made me laugh on the inside. I think he saw the smirk on my face which caused a tear to well up on his eye. I told him, "maybe chess isn't your thing?" That really pushed him over the edge and his moral was broken. From then on it was easy pickings. Thanks for a memorable moment and just be assured that children do cry...

I love the smell from Katz, freshly brewed coffee, but the two times I've tried the coffee I wasn't crazy about it. I do love the books. My kids can browse here and I don't have to worry they'll come across something really inappropriate like Barnes and Noble and they just started a clearance section in the back room of the store. I found a dozen books there the first time and two a week later, so they do keep replenishing the supply. It's also a nice place to just sit and have a cup of something (they have drinks other than coffee) and read while you wait for other family members to finish their shopping. It's getting harder and harder to find used book stores so we try to shop here as...

We came in the day of the Farmer's Day Parade, about a half hour before it started. I saw "coffee" on the sign and figured, why not! When we first walked in we were hit in the face with the lovely scent of coffee, baked goods and old books. (If we didn't have places to be, I could have stayed forever! ) After getting my bearings, I walked up towards the counter and was greeted by a giant smile and a "Welcome! What can we get for you?" It was crazy busy and these girls were taking it all in stride. It took just a couple minutes to get our coffee and away we went. I will be back, hopefully with more time to...
