Claire VG Thomas Theatre — Attraction in Lynden

Disappointing customer service.

Our first showing was unexpectedly cancelled; the theater sent out emails promising follow-up and then, nothing.

I reached out later only to find out the show had been rescheduled and our original seats taken by someone else.

We later had a member of our party end up not being able to attend: no refunds (don’t pay in advance, just pick up and pay at will-call the day of to avoid this).

On the night of our showing they offered refreshments during the intercession: cash only. Like most people I don’t carry cash these days so we left to walk to a nearby ATM. Took about ten minutes.

When we got back they had locked us out of the building. We got In through an adjacent restaurant only to find the concession stand empty and the doors to the theater closed.

Ushers at the door seemed annoyed with us for wanting to return to our seats.

Overall just not what I was hoping for . . . Not going to be super enthusiastic about attending future...

What a fun and excellent local theater. The shows are well produced and done with passion and care. The theater is located in the mall marked by the windmill at the end of the street. Close to local dining and entertainment, you can easily turn your evening into dinner and a show. Enjoy the historic Claire vg Thomas theatre...
