If you're looking for a small town diner, this is it! I tried the deluxe burger and also the hotdog with fries. Talk about fresh and cooked too perfection! The buns were even grilled to a perfect buttery crisp! Oh did I mention the dog came with relish on the side, most places make you ask for it. The wait staff was very friendly and prices were great!

Such an awesome local spot if you need a cheap and tasty bite before heading to the border. I had the chicken fried steak and it was so tasty. The service was great it was incredibly busy for 11 on a Friday but the food was hot and fresh and good. Can't find chicken fried steak anywhere else for $10.50

Good service, good serving for breakfast and the prices are about oh...10 to 20 percent less than most restaurants on the area for breakfast. The sausages were pretty dang large too!

Horrible absolutely horrible service!!! I will start by saying that some of our food was pretty good but their French toast, which most in our party ordered, is burnt, it looks burnt and tastes burnt....when we said something they tell us "that's the way we make it"!! Not impressed!! Then my husband ordered sunny side up eggs and he got scrambled and because we had to wait almost an hour for our food he was so hungry and started eating without realizing it till later. Then when we said something we were told it was his fault for not saying anything and because he ate it they wouldn't do anything, which I get you pay for your food but no accountability that they messed up! Our waitress was horrible, we sat with coffee for 20 minutes with no utensils - no spoons to stir our cream and sugar into our coffee while we watched her give utensils to other customers. Then we she did bring the utensils she threw them down on the table to my kids and the adults at the table. As I mentioned we waited almost an hour for our food and we watched other groups large and small who came in after us get their food before us. Mistakes happen when cooking, understandable that young waitresses can get busy and the human mind just forgets things all that can be looked over but what really got me was no accountability from the people who work there and the fact that they actually blamed us - THE CUSTOMERS!!!! That is so distasteful and a huge lack of class, the young waitress did apologize but the higher ups blamed us and said to my young daughter "do you guys normally go to restaurants and complain" how wretched for someone running a business to say to a customer they don't know!! That's awful and we will never go back! Every time we said something they were defensive of themselves and acted like we were the ones in the wrong when we are paying for a service from them! Do yourself a favor -...

As a Whatcom County resident for over 40 years, I'm kicking myself for not discovering Dutch Treat sooner! This place is an absolute treasure, a true five-star experience that transports you back to a simpler, more charming time. I had the chicken fried steak, and let me tell you, it was pretty darn good – flavorful and cooked to perfection. The hashbrowns? Absolute perfection, crispy and golden just how they should be. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her veggie omelette – a delicious and satisfying choice. My father-in-law, a true connoisseur, declared his French toast some of the best in the county – high praise indeed! And you absolutely have to try their fresh donuts, especially at just $.60 apiece – a truly unbeatable deal for such a tasty treat! What truly sets Dutch Treat apart is its atmosphere. It's the kind of place you just don't see anymore. Filled with friendly locals, it felt less like a restaurant and more like a community hub. We saw regulars bringing their own dishes to the kitchen and people helping themselves to coffee – it truly felt like dining at my grandmother's house, full of warmth and genuine hospitality. The service, managed by a single, efficient server for most of our visit, was exactly as expected for this kind of establishment – attentive without being overbearing. And don't even get me started on the toast; it was extra good! Top all of this off with stellar prices, and you have a winning combination. I will absolutely, without a doubt, be back. Dutch Treat is a must-visit for anyone looking for delicious food, incredible value, and a truly unique, heartwarming dining experience in...

It was a heavenly experience. The food was absolutely delicious. The soup (corn chowder) was divine! They have a sign saying "best soup in town" and I honestly think they are. The soup felt like a warm hug to my stomach. It brought me back to a home I never knew. I've never had food make me feel this way. I can't recommend this place enough. It was an absolute gem. Don't judge it by its appearance because at first glance you might be like me and not think much of it. But, BOY, is it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! The food will have you saying, "Bless the hands that made it!" even if you don't believe in God. It's that good. I could eat that soup ALL day! I also had the Dutch treat burger with fries and they were great too! But that soup, though... THAT SOUP!!!...
