Wonderful repository of historical data on the founding of La Grange that took place after the great Chicago fire by Franklin Cossitt. His descendants still live in the village and occasionally share their family memoirs. Current residents can potentially find information on the history of their lot/house in the extensive files curated by society volunteers.

Had a wonderful day celebrating Derby Day. Fabulous entertainment and Drinks during the festivities. The LaGrange Historical Society is near and dear to me as I live in the Historical district if LaGrange. Come visit and learn more about this great community.

Such an adorable exhibit! Take your children! They will love it and there are hands on items too. Laurie is an excellent Concierge. A lovely flower garden outside too! A really enjoyable back in time visit. Don't miss it. Parking available off street!!!!!

Love this place, always come here every year for our annual Christmas tradition to take pictures with Santa. I always make them into our Christmas card.

Helpful (volunteer) staff. Open just a few hours a week but that’s better than nothing!
