My first time dining in and having dinner at Prasino was so amazing that I ended up going back the following morning for breakfast, since I saw they had some unique morning dishes. Everything I had for both breakfast and dinner just seemed so extra flavorful, so freshly prepared, and aesthetically pleasing to the eye, in both arrangement and vivid color. Prasino's meals stimulate all of your senses, and I really appreciated that awakening! 𝔻𝕀ℕℕ𝔼ℝ: To my knowledge, I believe this is the only place in Downtown La Grange that serves saganaki (it is on their dinner menu only, not lunch). Although they said the fire dept will not allow them to flame it tableside due to the low wooden ceiling, it was just as flavorful. Their dinner menu has other adventurous starters like the sous vide octopus salad, as well as your favorites like a burger, which comes with your choice of roasted potatoes or pasta (which FYI had peas in it). 𝔻ℝ𝕀ℕ𝕂𝕊: There is a good size menu of fun cocktails like In the Violet Hour, which is Violette liqueur of a pretty purple shade, garnished with a complimenting lime. Not to mention there is even more options of wonderful teas, smoothies, and healthy juices, like the Wickedly Green juice. (Note: the menu says fresh juices are available til 4:30, I believe). However, if you decide to just stick with water, we both noticed how pure tasting the complimentary drinking water was, so I am sure it must be filtered water. 𝔹ℝ𝔼𝔸𝕂𝔽𝔸𝕊𝕋: Breakfast also has unique items to try like pretzel fresh toast, the short rib skillet, and unique variations of Eggs Benedict, like one with crab cakes. Plus, breakfast is available later in the day, until 2:30p.m. I think the menu said. I decided on the Paris Benedict, which was unlike any Eggs Benedict I have ever had – and that's saying something, since Eggs Benedict is my favorite breakfast and I try it every place that has it, everywhere I travel! It was a real good, thick cut of ham with brie cheese and truffle Hollandaise on a soft butter croissant, topped, of course, with 2 poached eggs, which were the most vibrant sunny tone of yellow I have ever seen. That was definitely a taste combination I have never had before, and my tastebuds appreciated the new flavorful experience! The included roasted potatoes were very tasty as well. 𝔸𝕋𝕄𝕆𝕊ℙℍ𝔼ℝ𝔼: It's a narrow restaurant but very long and spacious. There are booths on the side opposite the windows that are separated between by a wooden wall up to the ceiling, so they feel out of the way and private in a sense. It's a great spot for a conversation, but also to comfortably dine solo. In warm weather, outdoor tables with umbrellas extend the full length of the building. Lastly, the staff are not just friendly but also extra polite in their ways. Prasino quickly became one of my new restaurant favorites, and I am willing to bet it will yours, too! I cannot believe I waited so long to try it. Don't make the same mistake, and go today! 😉

Prasino is absolutely delicious and lives up to the hype. The farm-to-table menu and avant-garde drink menu sold both my friend and me. We had to pay a visit. First, let’s talk about the ambiance. Prasino feels cozy and modern all at the same time. With a wall full of windows, there’s no shortage of light! Each of the booths is fully partitioned off from the others floor to ceiling. They are working well within COVID protocols as well. Every other table is seated to maximize distance between customers. I felt completely safe while eating. Brunch service runs until 2:30 PM on the weekends. It is not to be missed. My friend and I both ordered a drink and an omelet. For my friend, a passion fruit mojito and the prosciutto and fig omelet. For me, a peach margarita and the City Farm omelet (chicken and apple sausage, spinach, and goat cheese). My friend and I could not put our drinks down. They were fantastic and expertly mixed. The bar uses actual juice and not a concentrate or flavor syrup to make the cocktails. They are a great deal for how well they are made. I’ve paid almost one and a half times more for something half the quality. The food. Oh, the food! If you want a well portioned, delicious brunch, look no further. The omelet, potatoes, and pancakes (or toast if you prefer!) were filling without making me feel uncomfortably full. Now, this omelet is the best omelet I have ever had - and I’ve had a lot of omelets! The eggs were creamy without being runny. The sausage was cooked well. The spinach was cooked but not shredded or overly shriveled so the omelet had these fantastic bites of spinach throughout. The real star here though is the goat cheese. It took this great omelet and elevated it into something wholly decadent. Each ingredient was fresh and helped the dish be more than the sum of its parts. I highly recommend Prasino for great drinks and great food. I will be returning very soon.

My recent visit to Prasino La Grange offered a mixed but overall satisfying breakfast experience. Although we arrived during lunchtime, we were pleased to find that the breakfast menu was still available, accommodating our timing perfectly. The restaurant's spacious layout caught our attention upon entering, providing ample seating options. What stood out immediately was the attentive service—the servers were swift, and the constant cleaning efforts ensured a pleasant dining environment. We began our meal with the Cocoa Chia Seed Pudding, adorned with sliced almonds, bananas, and toasted coconut. While the presentation was appealing, I found the dish to be lacking in sweetness, leaving it somewhat underwhelming. Moving on to the main courses, I opted for the Veg-Out Omelette, featuring a medley of spinach, tomato, zucchini, onions, peppers, mushrooms, and jack cheese. While it provided a decent array of flavors, it failed to truly impress me. Conversely, my wife selected the Crab Cake Benedict, complete with poached eggs and hollandaise sauce. She thoroughly enjoyed the dish, finding the flavors and textures to be well-balanced and satisfying. Overall, our experience at Prasino La Grange left us with mixed feelings. While the Crab Cake Benedict earned praise from my wife, and the efficient service was noteworthy, the other dishes, including the Cocoa Chia Seed Pudding and Veg-Out Omelette, fell short of expectations. While the food wasn't extraordinary, it was acceptable, making Prasino a decent option for breakfast in the area.

Prasino in Lagrange, IL, offers a mixed dining experience with both highlights and a few drawbacks. Parking is convenient, with a garage nearby and free street parking available. The restaurant's ambiance is perfect for a lunch or dinner date, especially if you snag one of the coveted booths. The drink menu impresses, and the old-fashioned stands out as a favorite. However, the vegan options for dinner are quite limited, featuring only one appetizer and one entree. Despite this, I opted for the vegan-friendly cauliflower ceviche and the Thai yellow curry with added tofu, both of which were remarkably flavorful and well-balanced. Unfortunately, the service fell short of expectations. Empty water and drink glasses lingered for extended periods, leading to a somewhat frustrating experience. It's unclear if my waitress was having an off day, but her limited presence became a notable aspect of the dining experience. To complicate matters, there was a billing mix-up at the end, with my credit card mistakenly charged for another table's bill. Fortunately, Teddy stepped in to resolve the issue. In conclusion, while Prasino shines in certain aspects like ambiance and culinary offerings, improvements in service are needed to elevate the overall dining experience.

Started things off with their freddo espresso, and the cream top is sweet and blends well with the espresso. the spinach and artichoke dip was beyond cheesy and their lobster avocado had a generous amount of fresh lobster meat, mango salsa, and chili beurre blanc. the goat toast was a pretty healthy option as well served on ezekiel bread, and the tomato jam paired nicely with the flavorful goat cheese. The omelette had figs and prosciuttio inside, and I never really thought about sweet omelettes, but the figs came through in the savory focused dish. Now if you love sweet and savory, then the butter croissant french toast is that dish that you need to try. it has the sweetness of a french toast, and the savoryness of a buttery croissant served with white chocolate sauce and salted caramel. Now one of the newest menu items is the Lox Flatbread, it came with a generous amount of lox that actually covered the flatbread, and the herb cream cheese had fresh garlicky flavor, very impressive addition to the menu.
