We stopped there to buy some bonnets (2). Unfortunately, they were not what we were looking and we only realized it as we were making our way to our next stop. Upon finishing that errand, we quickly returned to the store (within 10/15 minutes) to make an exchange.
First, the lady who rang us up during the initial purchase, quickly removed herself from the register when she saw us return, leaving us with another attendant who then called one of the owners. He was quick to refuse our request. We were undoubtedly surprised, given the fact that we had just bought the item. But, despite that, they refused to listen, instead telling us that while one could be exchanged, the other could not. He was abrupt, rude and just refused to listen to any form of reason.
I understand there may be some concern on their end, but he could easily have asked to look at the receipt, to verify what time we had purchased the item. But again, he just would not budge. He wouldn't even look at us at times, just kept repeating the same thing. There was no professionalism shown, let alone good customer service. Other hair stores I've been to, they treat you, like an actual customer. Listening to you, asking how they can assist you. For example, one location I went to, they were so patient during my many wig try-ons. While at another place, I was able to exchange a wig a day after I had bought it. Once they saw the receipt, they were open to making the exchange.
So I'm not sure what the story is here, but if you want to be treated as a customer that's shown any ounce of respect and decency, then based on the experience that we had, I would say do not come here. As a number of others have shared in their reviews, they really need to improve in this area because the way they treat/speak to you is quite demeaning. Also, I must add that while they have a good amount of wigs, I find most of them to be old and not well kept. There's a hair store closer to me with a much bigger selection of products, well stocked, better organized, and overall better with customer service. As soon as you walk in the door, you are greeted. So yes, needless to say, we won't be coming back here...
   Read moreI've been going to this store for a few years now and at first I liked it, they had may products that other stores don't have. One particular day I had a bad experience with what I'm sure was either one of the owners or a family member. She was an older, short female with a tight curled styled hair doo. Someone made her mad & she decided that she would take it out on me. I cursed her out, she rang my stuff up & I told her that something wasn't right what I had shouldn't have cost that much. Honestly my things should've been maybe 50 bucks & my total was over 70 bucks. I got my bags & looked through them before I paid... She had double rang several items up & then rang up items that weren't even mine, she didn't put them in the bag but she left them on the counter. My keys & my card were on the counter & she grabbed my card & swiped it for the purchase. As I'm still looking in the bag she give me the my card & receipt, says no refunds & laughs... I politely called my credit card company while standing in the store, disputed the charge & told her thank you for the free items. The moral of this story is... Don't think you're smarter than the next person and humble yourself when people patronize...
   Read moreOwner of the store literally followed me down every aisle! Every aisle I stood in, he would make sure to stand behind the counter where he could see me in the aisle. Then when I went to look at some hair products, I squeezed one of the bottles to smell the product and some of it squirted out and got on the bottle. He immediately FLEW to the aisle I was in reaching to grab the bottle from me. I barely understood what he was saying due to his English being so broken but basically he was saying how I'm messing stuff up and don't open anything else. I snatched back the bottle before he could grab it and informed him I am going to purchase it. I also informed him that he does not have to follow me around the store and if he continues to do it I will leave. These beauty supply stores are really starting to get cocky like there is not a store on every corner. Sure they have alot of hair to choose from but most of it is the blend/mix of synthetic hair and is extremely overpriced.
