I believe reviews should show appreciation for great service, document experiences—good or bad—and highlight areas for improvement.
In this review, I want to express my negative experience and the need for better customer service.
I have ordered from the Burger King at 3740 Austell Rd SW three times in the past, each time using a food app. With every order, there have been issues, such as missing items. Because of this, each food app requested documentation, which I uploaded for verification. Consequently, I received accommodations and refunds for the missing items.
However, during my third order, I decided to call the restaurant. My goal was to speak with the manager about my previous issues and discuss how to prevent them in the future.
Before I could finish my statement, I was met with indignation and hostility. I was told I needed to admit that I didn’t know how to use the app. Several times, while being berated as if I were a child, I was told to acknowledge my mistake. I am fully capable of using an app—I have four college degrees, including a master's in education and a specialist degree in technology instruction, along with over 20 years in the education system.
That said, I understand that we all face stress at work and that customers can be challenging. However, the most important thing in customer service is to listen. You don’t have to agree with the customer, but you should listen.
Let me be clear: I never raised my voice or acted irately. I am currently at home due to an illness and simply don’t have the energy for that. Imagine being sick and stressed, then dealing with this situation.
The manager’s treatment of me was unacceptable. I would never speak to anyone the way I was spoken to today. Even if I had made a mistake (which I did not), belittling me, talking down to me, yelling, cutting me off, and refusing to let me speak is not how to address a customer.
If I had made a mistake, I would admit it, but I wasn’t even given a chance to explain. I understand we all have bad days; I have no idea what the manager was going through, but I hope things improve for them.
After this exchange, the food I ordered went untouched. Burger King has lost a customer, and I will never eat at this establishment again.
If I learned anything from this, it’s that I will never speak to anyone the way I was...
Read moreWorst fast food experience ever!!! Our order was completely wrong not once, not twice, nope, not even three times. FOUR times, yes four times they managed to screw up a simple order. After waiting almost 40 minutes to get everything corrected once we finally arrived home we discovered that another part of our order was missing. Seriously, how hard is it? Read the screen and fix what the customer orders. It's not rocket science kids. Needless to say, at this point we gave up! The night manager, Julye, was rude and never apologized for the repeated mistakes. What she did do was complain about getting out of work late because "she had to go to class". Also, their corporate office might like to know that they are supposed to be open until 11pm but had already started shutting everything down at 10pm when we arrived. They were actually telling customers in the drive thru behind us that their systems were "down" and they couldn't take orders which was a flat out lie since they were able to take and charge us for our order and then process a refund almost 40 minutes later. These kids just wanted to go home early and didn't care about anything, especially their customers. As vegans we never eat at Burger King but really wanted to try and support the new Impossible Whopper (plant based burger) they are now offering. Sadly, by the time we FINALLY got to taste the burger it was cold, still prepared incorrectly and our fries were soggy. We will try again at another location this weekend. Fingers crossed for a better...
Read moreI WONT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION, I was at this location today and the lady in the counter told me that they don't take any walk in/ dine in orders, (poster outside says otherwise) asked me to go through the drive thru, I went through and she didn't answer, then when I walk to the window she told me she doesn't take orders by the window i explained that i was trying to order at the drive thru as she told me to, and no one answer me, that's why I walked to the window, i asked if i needed a car to be service and she said i don't wanna argue with you( she took the order from a car behind me, wondering if this was a race/ economic status discrimination, since we are proudly latino and walking) after this i left, what type of costumer service is this?? She easy could take the order but choose not to, this is not the first time, in COVID time i tried to get a burger here through the drive thru and they did not service me, Clearly in the window says OPEN FOR DINE IN, there is a poster. I contacted Burger King costumer service through the chat option, let's hope they answer or i will force to call the general office. DON'T EAT HERE, spend your money where they appreciate your business, not even that , go somewhere where they have a little respect for the costumer or a little more of common sense, unbelievable! If there is anything to be clarified please don't hesitate...
