C K Gift Shop — Attraction in Madison Heights

The owner of this store is very disrespectful. My mother bought a machine from this store to manually cut meat. There were issues with the machine, and my mom went to the store, and the owner helped her with the item and fixed it. When she went home to use the machine, the problem was still happening, and it wasn’t cutting the meat properly. When she took the machine back to the store to ask for an exchange, he said no, he would not give her a new machine. The reason why he wouldn’t give her a new machine is because he said she was a liar, that my 72-year-old mother lied about the machine not working because she returned it in a clean, new condition because, guess what, the item was brand new outside of two uses! They gave her a refund but would not give her a new machine when that is what she wanted. He accused her of lying and was very insulting to her in front of the other workers and customers in the store. How dare he disrespect a woman in her 70s and accuse her of lying? What kind of business is this? The man claims because no other customers have had issues with the product before that she must be a liar and continued to insult her. I’ve never heard of a grown man acting like this to any person. Would not recommend this business to anyone. Find someone who treats people with respect; shame on the owner for behaving like this and accusing my mom of such...

I love that store. It's has almost about everything you're looking for day-to-day to special occasions. try to open another C&K Gift Shop on the corner of Michigan Avenue/Washington Boulevard across from the Book Cadillac Hotel in Downtown Detroit. That empty building has the main floor and five levels for renting out the place between $500-1500 every month to recoup when not selling things. Also, transfer the non-selling items to that store to sell them off and start again.

Great little shop. The store is half home goods and gifts, and half Middle Eastern market. The prices are great, on both the food, and the kitchen products I picked up. Their deli section looks great . The staff was all incredibly friendly, and I get the feeling that they get to know all their regular customers pretty well. Definitely somewhere I'd like to...
