I am changing my review. I originally had a good review, however things have sadly.changed here. When coming in, the waitress said you can just sit anywhere over there and waved her finger. There was only 2 tables with customers. She wasn't to busy to seat us. Second, when one of the customers was finished amd the table was being bused, the busboy took the napkins that were sitting at this table where the customer was repeatedly blowing his nose, and put them back up on the "clean" stack of clean napkins for later use. He cleared all the dishes the took one of those napkins and put it on the table and places clean.glasses upside down on the napkin. That was very unsanitary and gross to me to me. You don't reuse napkins that were not used at a customers table. One of the waitresses was using an electric fly swatter out in the dinning area for the gnats. Did not clean any of that up. This was near the cups and napkins and silverware. The busboy/food server went to the bathroom with his apron on. The food has gone VERY downhill which was sad because their gluten free French toast used to be so good. The gluten free bread was skimpy and looked store bought. It was not good at all. My husband had the western breakfast and they didn't ask how he would like his eggs. They just said the eggs come scrambled. When he received them, he said they tasted like boxed eggs. The biscuits were so thin and fell apart when he tried to eat them. I'm bery disappointed that something changed in the care or management here. This was our go to place. So upset by this because we came here for the tasty gluten free breakfast options. That was our last time visiting this resturant. I hope they go back to how things used to be, otherwise they'll be losing a lot...
Read moreThis used to be our favorite restaurant and the last two times we have been there, it's just been okay. We noticed they are replacing ingredients with cheaper versions and it could possibly be due to Covid and that would be okay, but last visit just didn't feel right to us. Remember, we've been coming here since they opened and were owned by Penny White. Yesterday our two daughters and I stopped in for breakfast, but even before we entered the building, we were shocked at what we saw. One of the employees was out smoking on the side of the building in full view of customers. We went in right after him and got seated right away. Not too bad, but then we realized it was the same employee who gave us our napkins, we wondered if he even had time to was his hands?? Everything else was good up to the point where we ordered and were told we keep the menus. Here comes the same employee picking up all the menus from the tables and putting them in a pile behind the counter, the same pile the other ones were in. At that point, we wondered if we were given recycled menus and started to feel uncomfortable. Luckily we brought sanitizer in with us. After we received our breakfast dishes, we asked for boxes and left. We were very disappointed about this visit because the staff is usually excellent and the food has always been delishious. Even if the food wasn't the greatest, as it usually is, we wouldn't have cared because we know it's hard right now for businesses. But, regarding them following CDC guidelines for being open, protecting their employees and customers, well, they need to be better with that until we return. If you go here, please pay attention to what's going on and don't forget to take your...
Read moreThis was our first time dining at Breakfast Club, after rave reviews from our friends. My girlfriend and I are both servers, and we both cook breakfast food at home all the time. Service was acceptable, but the real horror was the food. I ordered the Farmer Connor's Country Omelet, which is advertised to contain four eggs - at most it had three, but that's pushing it. It was absolutely miniscule compared to expectations. On top of that, the omelet was dry and devoid of flavor. Their white toast was completely stale, as though it had been sitting out for days. Their hashbrowns were burnt on the outside, yet mush on the inside - a sign that they've been frozen and thawed multiple times. My girlfriend ordered the Breakfast Club Wrap. How could they screw up their flagship dish? Let's start with completely raw bacon, and like my omelet, it was entirely bland.
Our server returned to the table, our plates hardly touched, and I explained to him our problems with the meal. The manager arrived shortly after that, clearly mad at us. "What're you complaints here?" she asked. We described how thoroughly inedible our meals were, and were asked why we don't just order something else. Instead of showing humility, and being remorseful for the atrocity she let come to our table, the manager was accusatory and unprofessional. I insisted that I only pay for my coffee, and leave. I left a ten on the table, and we walked out.
As mentioned, my girlfriend and I are servers ourselves - we go out all the time, and have never once complained, despite receiving some questionable food and service. Today we felt it necessary... so much so that we're posting here...
