Some of the best Mexican food you'll have, ever. Grab a drink, I have thoughts... For the best or your first experience I would highly recommend eating in-house. You'll order with the cashier up front (at first glance it looks like just a small specialty market) & will receive a # to put on your table when you have a seat in the back where they will bring out your food in just a couple minutes. So fresh you have to wonder how they had time to put it all together and so hot & delicious you'll want to peek into the kitchen to see how many Tías are cranking out these unbelievable dishes. There's a few items that we can't stop ordering because you will not find any as good as Super Taco does it. Gorditas: Taco Bell slop gave gorditas a bad name... these are authentic, crispy yet soft & full of flavor, can't beat the shredded chicken for these. Fish tacos: they are putting something special in here. They use a fresh Pico de Gallo & creamy/spicy sauce on top that turned a non fish eater into a "3 fish tacos please" every time we order order-er! Tamales: get them while they have them because they go fast! You can grab a bag of 6 at the counter (for on the go) and feed a family of 4 - but let's be real, everyone will want more than 1 or 2. The pork are the favs but chicken is a close 2nd. Also getting an honorable mention is their green and red sauces that come with every order. They level up everything they touch which doesn't even seem possible til you're licking the last drops from your plate & realizing what a mess you've made of yourself. Not to take away from the storefront, they also have a great selection of many Hispanic specialties you can't pick up at most local grocers, including a large cooler of drinks. Sorry for long post but I hope I've given you enough reason to check out this little gem. Would love to see this place still thriving another 20 years...
Read moreSo I was recently in Michigan, and I was looking for a good place to get tacos. I said okay Google found this place and I decided to give it a try.
I was surprised by how good the tacos were. The steak tacos were especially delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly, and it was seasoned with a flavorful blend of spices. The tortillas were also fresh and made to order.
I was also impressed by the variety of tacos available. In addition to the steak tacos, they also have tacos with chicken, pork, fish, and vegetables. They also have a variety of toppings, including pico de gallo, guacamole, and sour cream.
The prices are also very reasonable. You can get a filling meal for under $10.
Overall, I was very impressed with such a place so far north for Mexican tacos lol. The tacos were delicious, the prices were reasonable, and the service was friendly. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good taco joint in Michigan.
Here are some additional thoughts on the steak tacos:
The steak was cooked to perfection. It was juicy and flavorful, with a nice char on the outside. The spices were perfectly balanced. They were flavorful, but not too spicy. The tortillas were fresh and made to order. They were soft and pliable, and they held up well to the fillings. The tacos were served with a variety of toppings, including pico de gallo, guacamole, and sour cream. Closing:
I'm giving this place 4 stars because the steak tacos were delicious, but the service was a bit slow. Overall, I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good taco joint...
Read moreI called to place a catering order on a Saturday for Sunday pickup. Their website has a price of $155 for a catering order for 12 and the girl taking the order said the charge would be $208. I asked if the website was wrong she said no it was for taxes and fees. I sent my husband there to pay for the food for our party. My daughter picked up the order and they failed to give her the beans and rice. When we noticed at the house we called and they said these items didn't come with. We did the best with what food we received for the party. I verified on the website the catering package for 12 people indeed came with rice and beans. I called the next day and asked to speak with the owner and was told he'd be in the following morning. I called the next morning and asked to speak to the owner, the line was picked up by several employees and when I asked for the owner they put me on hold until someone asked my name and why I wanted to speak with the owner - then she hung up. Unfortunately I can no longer in good conscience give them any more of...
