I picked up a battery at another Costco Tire Center, and it turned out to be the wrong battery for my car. I was told that Costco Madison Heights was the closest place I could order the model of Interstate battery for my car,. So I called them and spoke to the manager in the Tire Center, Scott McKee, who told me that I could return the battery I'd bought and that he'd order the right model, and that it should be on the next truck delivery. When I called back to confirm delivery, Scott apologized and told me that the battery had been damaged in transit and was leaking, and that he'd order me a new one. Disappointed, I just resigned myself to waiting.
Here's what prompted my review: I got a call the next day from Scott, telling me he'd felt bad about my battery experience with Costco, and had decided to personally drive to Ohio and pick up my replacement battery and that it was available for pickup.....???!!!????? Who does this?? In what universe is it possible to get service this far above and beyond the call of duty? I was lost for words but managed to fumble with an amazed thank you, but really Costco, you have a gem of an employee in Scott McKee. Please give that man a bonus!!!
ps. I was so impressed with Scott's commitment to service that I offered him a generous tip, and was astounded that he graciously declined, telling me it was against company policy. Unbelievable....integrity AND dedication. I salute you sir,...

We bought a sectional from there just before Christmas 2020 after having already been screwed over once by getting furniture at American Freight, having it fall completely apart in no time, and then they refused to honor the warrenty we paid for. Having bought furniture from Costco in the past, expected the same quality for the price we've come to know and love. The nursery set we bought almost 10 years ago held up through 3 kids and is going strong. Plus, we figured they stand behind their products and wouldn't screw us over like American Freight did. Wrong. This sectional started to fray and come apart within the first couple of months. Unfortunately, like many others we also faced covid job loss and on top of furniture shortages, were stuck with a slowly falling apart piece of furniture longer than we would have liked. Finally, we're in a position to replace it and now this location's management is refusing to honor their 100% satisfaction guarantee return policy. So, thanks for screwing a struggling family out of a large investment. Never mind my husband and I being extremely loyal members since 2007 and have never once exploited the return policy. I can probably count on one hand the number of times we've ever returned anything to your store. Thankfully, there's both a BJs and Sam's Club that we'll gladly be taking our business to...

I am weeks away from giving birth to my first child; Costco supposedly implemented checking the membership pictures at the self check out while your waiting for one to open up. (Never heard of this or have had this done before) This woman asks me to show the membershipā¦. 1. You already show the membership to get inā¦. So I said she can see the membership when I go up to scan for check out. She asked again, and I told her the same thing.
She then calls the manager and tells me to step aside. One of the scanners opens up and I proceeded to go to check out. She jumps in front of the cart and forcefully pushes the cart back onto my stomach!
At this point you can imagine Iām upset. The manager comes up and explains this new process theyāre implementing. I explain to her my frustration, being pregnant and that employee going overboard about the membership. Iām at Costco with my grandmother and she went to look for pitcher for drinks for my baby shower, TOMORROW, and dealing with that employee and her aggressiveness was too much!
Like really, this membership thing is that serious that you have to assault me by pushing the basket that has items in it, back onto my stomach⦠absolutely ridiculousā¦
