Denver Mattress — Attraction in Madison

We purchased a bunk bed, chair, sofa, and a entertainment center. The sales experience was very good, but we have had more than one poor service experience. The delivery crew delivered our bunk bed at 8 PM and had a hard time assembling it - had to borrow tools from us to complete the assembly. It took over two hours to complete and we found some loose parts that didn’t look quite right. The sofa and entertainment center we purchased on 3 September were supposed to be delivered in 7 to 10 days, but here we are over two weeks and no delivery. We called to see what the hold up was and they told us the entertainment center was discontinued and we have to come back and see if we want the floor model. The delivery has been rescheduled for another week. We were never notified about the difficulty and only found by calling to see what’s the holdup. Good sales experience, poor delivery service. Feeling very frustrated from an otherwise good experience.

UPDATE: I’m sorry to say that after calling Denver Mattress Company and coordinating for a new delivery of our couch and entertainment unit, they delivered the couch, minus the battery needed to lower the recline function. They have promised to redeliver it, along with the base of the entertainment unit. That was also missing from the delivery. The hutch portion was the only part of the entertainment unit that was delivered. I’m sorry, I know there are many good reviews, but I’m downgrading our experience to 1 star. They seem incapable of an acceptable level of customer service. I can’t say we’ll be going back or recommending this furniture store to others.

Update: They really went out of their way to address each issue and expedited our delivery. Will upgrade their rating and recommend this...

We were very pleased with our purchases at Denver Mattress and Furniture Row combined. It was our very first visit to Furniture Row, and we were there to find a queen sized mattress. As soon as we entered the store we were greeted by a friendly customer service person, and she told us how the store was laid out and where the Denver Mattress section was located. As we were walking through the store on our way to look at the mattresses, we immediately spotted a queen bedroom suite that we thought would look beautiful in one of our guest bedrooms in our home. The Furniture Row customer service person informed us of a sale they were having that when you spent a certain amount on furniture, the more of a discount you received. Then she told us that purchasing a mattress from Denver Mattress could also be included in our discount package. We were thrilled, to say the least, and went to the mattress store part of Furniture Row (Denver Mattress). When we entered the mattress store, we were once again greeted by a very courteous and knowledgeable customer service person who helped us find the perfect mattress. Then we found out that with our mattress purchase, we would also receive, FOR FREE, two queen sized pillows OF OUR OWN CHOOSING, which also came with a set of queen sized sheets, and also included pillow AND mattress covers!!!! We were so excited that we, just by chance, stopped by the store that day and happened upon all of these great deals. After all of that good news, our purchases were delivered to our home within one weeks time, and everything looked great in the room we had chosen for them. Please go and see the nice people at Denver Mattress and Furniture Row and see what great surprises...

We were looking for a Purple Mattress, and Denver Mattress has them all available to try out. We spoke with Austin, and we enjoyed working with him. He was knowledgeable and made sure we got the absolute best deal possible. They at least price matched Purple.com, if not more - as if they stacked discounts from Purple's site and their store. Don't quote me on their pricing policy because I don't want anyone to get their hopes up, but we left confident we got the best deal possible for everyday consumers. Austin even gave us the option to buy a warranty clearance/returned mattress which would have been even cheaper. That made me feel like he was trying to accommodate our wallets, even if he took a cut on commission (I suppose they get a commission on total sale price but I'm not sure).

Another thing was that I was certain I just wanted a mattress and not accessories, and Austin priced out literally every option; clearance mattress/new mattress/accessories/no accessories. We ended up liking the price with accessories, so we got them. I didn't feel pressure from Austin to buy them, though, he just laid out all of the options.

Even the stock/back room employee was super friendly and accommodating. He moved around several heavy mattresses to let us see the clearance options, as well as helped us load it into our car. The Purple's are rolled up so we could move it on our own and not pay delivery fees.
