I have been to this shop at least 4 times. I’ve tried a new barber here every time I’ve gone. The one I like, no longer works there.
This most recent visit will be my last.
I scheduled a haircut- fade- beard shave- eyebrows. It’s marked as $40.
I get 3 notifications prior to getting there that my time has been changed. I show up and it has been changed again. I wait. After about 40 min I sit down to get my haircut. I tell the guy (Omar) what I want.
As we start the cut I tell him my beard grows very fast and is thick. He says ok and we talk about it a little and then after sitting and letting him do his job. I get up to see something I don’t feel right paying full price for. He cut my neck with clippers. Friction burned my neck and back of my head. My beard line is cooked. My jaw line is no where near straight.
When I voice that I am not happy about how it turned out. Another barber, actually one of the owners (Noa). Tells me my skin is inflamed because I’m white. I say that if I get cut it will probably turn into an ingrown hair based on my previous situations I’ve dealt with while shaving. She says I have no idea what I’m talking about and that I should listen to her because she know.
She asks if I’m ready to pay yet while I’m still trying to process that I now have to walk out with cuts on my neck that will scab and a finished product that I don’t agree with.
I won’t be back here and I won’t recommend this...
Read moreI visited this barbershop hoping for a simple, clean haircut, but unfortunately, the experience left me disappointed. To start on a positive note, I do appreciate that they accepted me as a walk-in, especially since they were turning away other customers who arrived without appointments after me. That gesture showed some level of professionalism and made me feel hopeful initially.
However, the actual haircut experience fell far below expectations. I showed the barber a clear photo of the style I wanted—something I’ve done at other barbershops without issues. Despite that, what I received looked nothing like the reference image. Shockingly, he didn’t even take the time to comb my hair before or during the cut, which made it difficult to ensure accuracy and symmetry. When I got home and combed it myself, the unevenness became even more apparent.
Adding to the disappointment, the barber didn’t bother to brush off the loose hair from my neck and scalp, leaving me itchy and uncomfortable. For the price they charged—especially considering the rushed service and lack of attention to detail—I expected significantly better. Sadly, I left feeling like I paid premium prices for a...
Read moreWas out of town for a week and headed back in the morning, so I thought I'd swing in here for a quick cut. Nothing crazy, just a low fade like I get back home in VA for ~$20. My provider here Laura was very friendly and held a great conversation. She shared some that she'd come across tough times, so my natural reaction was to tip high... to pay it forward. When we were done and I went to pay the boy at the counter, he asked her what to charge. In Spanish, she told him what sounded like $30 dollars, but my Spanish is rusty... so I figured I misheard. Nope, it legit came to $33+ for a fade. The first tip option on the ipad touchscreen was 25%, which also touched a nerve. ALAS, I decided to go ahead and tip the 25% ($8 or so) and leave. $41.86.... If this is the normal price for a fade around here, so be it. Great woman, great place, just very overpriced in my opinion....
