GameStop — Local services in Madison

Sketchy. I went there to buy the newest Pokemon game for my kids for Christmas. While I was there, I was also gonna grab some Pokemon cards and a couple of plushes for them too.

I was told by "Cole" that I couldn't buy 6 packs (2 packs for each of 3 kids; 1 pack each from 2 different sets) because there was a limit of 5. I pointed out that there was no sign or notice, and then I said nevermind then on all of the packs. Suddenly, he said I could buy them.

Then, I wanted to use the $5 reward coupon I get for my PowerUp subscription. Cole said I couldn't unless I renewed my subscription, so I said nevermind on the other stuff then and was just going to get the game. Suddenly, he said I could use my coupon.

In the end, I was so put-off, and he was giving me such a run-around that I just left everything but the plush I couldn't find elsewhere. I will not be going to Gamestop anymore. I can get most of what have...

There's a couple staff members here that are very knowledgeable. but I went there the night of the mortal Kombat release and they tried to shove it down my throat to buy the game when I told them that I wasn't interested I did get a couple of clearance items in the same associate insisted that I get the free GameStop membership when I told him that I was not interested. He then made the worst joke I've ever heard when me and my friend were walking out the door saying see you later Jason Bourne. I'm sure the manager doesn't appreciate him making sly comments towards the customers I'm curious too if they will reply to...

A great store! It’s beautifully organized, has lots of merch, and a fair game selection. The staff there treats you like family. I met Sage and the Decatur store manager Andre while I was there. Sage is a great person, happy to explain anything about the product and a fun person to talk to. Andre is incredibly kind and wanted to make sure I had a great experience inside the store. They limit Pokemon cards to one per customer, which is a great measure to help people actually get a chance to get product.
