Planet Fitness — Local services in Maitland

I found at this location there is only 3 exponentially star employees : Logan , Christian, and Berto. As for the rest of the staff members provide extremely poor service as well as a lack of quality and hospitality , poor worth ethic , and are more then extremely rude to the customers that pay to come here. And an employee named Sky harasses customers and coworkers of hers for money for food and energy drinks not to mention One employee named Richard followed me into the black card room and challenged my husband when my husband said nothing to him. I gave this a 1 star review for a specific reason because of a change of management recently but when Alfonzo was running this location it was extremely up to par. Not only that but planet fitness is only utilized in a business model sense but not in a customer stand point they expect for people to always sign up so they receive the membership fees from the customers but don’t expect them to show up which leads to a lack of decline and equipment in a sanitary environment as well as the service you will receive by ever other staff member besides Berto , Christian, and Logan. I would highly suggest finding a different location to go to or a different gym completely. Not only all of that but the Manger running this location is hardly ever there and never stays for a full 8 hours when he is there and the complaints I have given out have been met with arguments and worse. I am a frequently gym goer, I do enjoy keeping myself exercised and In good Health and this has officially turned me off to this location. For the sake of this whole comment I do want to stress there is 3 excellent star employees named at the top Logan , Christian and Berto who listened and helped and also cares but also makes sure the gym is clean when they are working. There is also an employee that worked overnights named Michaela that is supposed to next week become an assistant manager but i have had nothing but problems with her and have yet to see her do anything in the gym until the GM showed up instead go to her car and smoke weed and be on her phone her whole shift while she’s inside supposed to be working . I know the cameras will reflect all the statements I have made and I hope upper management will review this and take action because I used to enjoy...

Unfortunately this club has gone down hill quickly. Leaderless, a black hole of attrition for employees. Whom are constantly voicing their complaints about the lack of management. Since opening they're unable to keep a Personal Trainer due to underpay($14)hr at best, which is nothing when LA Fitness up the road and Crunch trainers make over 80K. Managers are no better with them lasting under 90 days. Equipment is left to go to waste, while temporary Manager stuck at club ready with cold, corporate answers that provide none. The adaptation of the group whom honorably owned the most successful franchise of clubs in the region, by the emotionless and system driven Corporate Entity.has lead to the degradation of this club. Not receiving attention or support due to socioeconomic area where located. As temporary Manager proudly touts the success of other clubs in higher socioeconomic areas where any business thrives. Thus quantifying my comments above. The equipment is worn and abused, the staff is disgruntled, underpaid, vocal on such and constantly turning over. With over 2,000 clubs nationwide, Planet Fitness has woefully left this one to rot. With even the temporary Manager griping to have to babysit the club, refusing to give clear answers on basic issues, and acting as a gate keeper to District Management until they are satisfied my concern is valid enough to be graced with a call from the District Manager. A good concept ruined by lack of leadership. UPDATE: In prime example of the inability to get out of their own way with company developed customized cleaning stations not taking into consideration the metal top would rust from spillage of the cleaning fluid and members would not know how to extend the nozzles from the holders to spray onto the paper towels properly. That's when any of the cleaning stations are properly stopped at this location they go months...

It's unfortunate that I now have to write a bad review right after the glowing review. As of today my membership has been terminated and have been given a trespassing warrant. Upon entering, I had my mask on. When I go the floor to begin exercising, kyannah ottley said to me, I must put my mask back on. I said I'm about to work out. She said doesn't matter, you must have your mask on until you are at the machine. I said back I've never been told that and wasn't planning on doing so as I will be actively working out as their posted signs say. She said if a I don't I must leave or she will terminate my membership and call the police. I said do what you have to do.

Jadie, who refused to give his last name, came up to me with a yellow laminated paper that says you must have a mask on while inside the building. This contradicts the signs posted in the workout area which clearly states you do not have to wear a mask while actively working out. We debated about what actively working out is. The end result is jadie said you have to out your mask on while you move between machines. I reiterated that over the month I have been coming here, I have never once been told that. Jadie has seen me on the floor and never told me. Noel has even talked with me on the floor and never once told me I must wear my mask. Multiple members, even while I was there today were not wearing their mask while on the workout floor. Jadie also said that I signed a contract and it says they can changes the rules whenever they want. Making someone constantly put on and take off their mask just because they moved from one machine to another is absurd. That's considered not "actively working out". All of 5 to 15 seconds. Should really clarify what "actively working out" is before...
