One of the underrated lakes in Mammoth Lakes. We were planning on hiking the Gull Lake Loop, but unable to locate signs. We eventually found signs that said "Trail" after walking for about 10 minutes already lol. I guess there were other mini and longer trails within that loop. Hope they improve on their signage. Anyways, the view was amazing! Half of the trail we took didn't have shade, but the Fisherman Trail had it. We also passed by swings that a group of family was using. Looked fun, but we didn't really plan on swimming there.

Incredibly beautiful lake overlooking the June Lake area, in particular the massive 11,000ft Carson Peak. In the winter the lake partially freezes over and if you skip rocks they make a very cool sound. There's plenty of parking, and there's a playground right next to the lake.

Beautiful frozen Gull lake! There’s a picnic table available by the lake, parking spaces, a playground and benches facing the lake and a public restroom. Perfect spot to relax and enjoy the beautiful view

Wonderful little hidden lake. There’s an easy one-hour hike around the lake that starts on a small trail just above the playground or at the far end of the marina. Easy & free parking. Relatively easy to maintain the trail. 80% single track, but also on camp roads and thru a campground. There’s a rope swing into the water at the west end. I kept my dog on the leash near the start and end, but otherwise he was off leash and we saw hardly anyone. Free launch sites for paddle boards and boats. Picnic tables, shaded grass, large charcoal grills, fire pits & plenty of sweet fishing nooks as well. Probably boondocks camping back the dirt...

Serene and peaceful. Area gets windy but there are plenty of inlets to allow for sheltered water side access to put your line in the water. Boat launch ramp allows for kayaks canoes boats and individual floaters. The surrounding views are breathtaking. The drive to the ramp is a bit rough but ok if you go slowly. Also it's one lane but there...
