June Lake General Store — Local services in Mammoth Lakes

Okay, we have been coming here since 1980 and i am so glad this place exists! I call it the 'World's Greatest Store" cuz it sells everything except cars, I think. They have an excellent grocery store with fresh produce, meats and eggs and an extensive beer and liquor selection. But that's not all, There hardware department has been fine tuned for what there customers always seem to need. This place has saved many a vacation and also kept me from having to drive to Mammoth Lakes or even to Bishop. When i needed help it was just an ask away. Some people may complain about the prices, but look where you are?! You can drive to Mammoth or Bishop and get a lower price, but wait! Gas! This store never ceases to surprise us. We have found the most amazing obscure items there, among the basics one would want. One evening we went looking for ingredients for dinner and found gluten free pasta, sundried tomatoes and pesto. This most recent visit, we needed to do plumbing repair on our kitchen sink. As we got to the root of the issue, we made several trips there, but found everything needed to replace the drain and pipes on the kitchen sink. The people who work there are helpful and friendly. The June Lake general store has just about everything you would need including the kitchen sink! This store sells groceries camping supplies and lots of home hardware products including plumbing electrical and carpentry. If you forgot something the store probably has it. The staff is always friendly to us and the prices are reasonable. I’m pretty sure their liquor prices are the best in town. The building itself it’s really cute and obviously has a lot of history.
