Zippy Chicks — Attraction in Manchester

Horrible customer service experience. After finding stains on an item I wanted to buy, the woman at checkout was extremely rude (grey short hair and large blue glasses). She blatantly ignored me when I pointed out the stains, so I asked if a small discount was possible, considering this item was “New with tags” and priced as such. I said to her “this is supposed to be new with tags” implying that it should be in clean condition. And her response was “It is new with tags.”

Still not addressing my question about a small discount, she took the shirt from me and attempted to clean the stains off. After all the scrubbing she did, it left a small hole in the shirt and I told her I no longer wanted it. She scoffed and said “ok.”

I then paid for my other item, which was a “New with tags” Free People bodysuit. After the way I was treated, I chose to not say “thank you” after paying and as I walked away she said “wow” loudly for me to hear.

When I got to the car I noticed a gross stain on the bodysuit. My husband went in to handle the situation because of how disrespectful the woman was to me the first time. Luckily that woman was not at the front desk anymore and there was another staff member who acknowledged that this stain was something they should have caught before selling it.

Because of the woman who displayed that kind of behavior to a customer, I will no longer shop at Zippy Chicks or ever recommend it to anyone. My husband and I are still in shock at how unprofessional she is allowed to be towards customers. I hope the owner finds a way to make it right for...

I am so bothered even to write this because it was my favorite place to go every summer and fall. I have recommended so many people and have take. So many friends and my sisters. However, my sister called for appt to consign some handbags (she is meticulous with her stuff) so they were all in like new condition. The day of appt they were ALL accepted after being looked over. I dropped over 300.00 my two other sister purchased a few things and we left happy happy! One week later my sister gets a call to “come pick up bags because they smell like Moth balls” which ABSOLUTELY CAM NOT BE BECAUSE SHE NEVER USES THEM EVER! My sister explained that and the girl said well we smell it! Sis says “well you didn’t “smell it” when I dropped off”. So half hour drive back picked up her items and we left. I get back and realized almost ALL THE ITEMS I PURCHASED WERE DAMAGED AND FILTHY! Stain on a Gree people dress and filthy, button missing on a skirt; a piece of lace unraveling from another skirt etc etc. I am beyond disappointed in Zippy Chicks and will never go again to purchase or consign. Maybe your store smells like moth balls to help with the smell of the shoe...
